Was just coming here to say the same thing. Especially because there is so much competition between them for Olympic spots because they have so many elite lifters. And yet every single meet, every weight class, they are out in force to support each other. It's really awesome. I've gotten to the point that it's not a real competition for me until l hear the Chinese chanting!
Great videos and commentary as always. A small note, keep the naming consistent. In some its Men & Women and in others just M & W, maybe it's two different people uploading them who name them differently. Also, it's nice if the thumbnails are consistent, preferably the black ones with information of which session it is. Would prefer the videos to be released in order so it's easier to see the whole session, but there maybe is a reason for them being uploaded in this order that I'm unaware of.
right!? i used to be soooo into powerlifting but its dreadfully boring. fucking dull. there are some good personalities, but benching [to me] is very dull, unimpressive, and the lifts are not very athletic altogether.
ive heard some talk of canning the press-out rule, or at least loosening up on it. its so ridiculously strict, yet not everyone gets the rules applied. very much an example of "favoritism" under certain circumstances.

Can someone explain to someone new to weightlifting.. why in the !!!! the graphic for the standings is the way it is? Can we not just have it move based on the current standings? Reeves is listed 9th but is 3rd, LIAO is listed 7th but is the favorite and takes 1st.. why tf is it like this? lol

Strongman is my sport but I could watch this stuff all day. Powerlifting I can watch about 1 sec.

@@teiwaztim1482 most people bash the sumo deadlift but I think the powerlifting squat is even worse. I def squat more like an Olympic lifter
21:19 Is it a press out even if done at the lowest point? Does the rule need arms straightened strictly **before** the lowest point?
once you finish your pull, any elbow movement is counted as pressed out

Anyone able to squat 400lbs is insane. The way these athletes squat that kinda weight (smoothly) is incredible.
