  • Though the early church endured intense persecution, the Lord enabled His first-century followers to proclaim the gospel with boldness and conviction. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul describes how we can live with the same boldness because of the power of the Holy Spirit and the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has defeated sin and death.
This sermon was preached by R.C. Sproul at Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, FL. Hear sermons from his series in the book of Acts: • The Book of Acts: Serm...

What happened to the 21st century church, where is the boldness?

I have manifested your name to the people whom you have gave me out of the world… I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world… just a snippet of John 17 . Read and learn of Gods sovereign decree regarding salvation. Again it’s a doctrine rightly divided through out the two Testaments

Holy boldness? You mean "If & only if you are one of Calvinism's pre-chosen elect you will be Irresistibly Regenerated someday. If not you are one of the pre-damned with no hope, grace or mercy offered you."

I humbly believe you have this incorrect. Dont dwell on "Calvanism" friend, we are all Christ's elect. John 3:17 (KJV) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Mike, if you love the Lord Jesus, if you’re convicted of your sin, then God has regenerated you already, the Holy Spirit has quickened you and you are one of the elect

@@daveheib4517 Perhaps you haven't paid attention to this man-inspired theology that came along centuries after the Gospels & Epistles were penned causing doubt & fatalism.
"Is God unfair in not chosing to save everyone? Fair would be sending everyone to Hell. You don't want fair, you want mercy" (quote from JMac)... the unelect don't get hope, grace or mercy... that's not biblical soteriology.

@@mpayette he is pointing out the majority of people that are not elect and have no real choice in the matter. The elect cannot do anything but love God and feel convicted and quickened

@@mpayette Yes, I'm thankful that has happened with me. The point is, it (salvation) can happen/is offered to all. But not in the man-inspired theology of Calvinism.
