The solo from the album edge of thorns at 6:34...is one of the most incredible I have ever heard. Van Halen, Randy Rhodes, you name it...that ranks up there with ANY of them.
When I listen to it I picture birds flying off into the distance and when the solo gets faster I see the birds start flying faster. No other guitar player's solos make me picture scenes in my head. Just the King Oliva.
I understand. I came here and tried to make it through without losing it, but it was an exercise in futility. 😢 By far the best stolen from us at far too young! Rest in peace Criss. Still the orchestra plays...and still we listen in appreciation and awe. 🎸 🌹💖
Aside his famous solos,there are some underrated ones such as Skraggys Tomb,Follow me,St Patricks, D.T Jesus,Thorazine Shuffle.These solos are beyond perfect!
His tone is unmatched (even to this day).
