    You need to turn up the sound...we can barely hear the music.

    The Stones recording of, “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” you must experience it.

      With the guitarsound from the solo you can cut 3 year old Parmesan cheese into cigarette paper thin slices.

    The Stones did a number of "dark" songs like this one, "Paint It Black", "Shattered" and others. The one I'd recommend you try next is "Gimme Shelter". I'm positive you'll like it.

      The darkest one imho is Midnight Rambler, told from the POV of the stalker, but it is fantastic

    After seeing you react to the guitar drop in this (my favorite Stones song) I have to admit it's not another Stones song I want to see you react to. Dogs by Pink Floyd will bring you joy. Be well.

    Next do Paint it Black, again by the Rolling Stones. Or Mothers Little Helper. They had a few kick ass songs early on before they got older than dirt and refused to die.

    I agree with Eric, welcome to journey. The voice and lyrics are Mick Jagger. The guitar is the force of nature, Keith Richards. Nicky Hopkins is playing piano, thanks Nicky. The song is from the “classic period” of the Stones. For earlier songs you might check out Paint it Black, Time is on my side, Satisfaction or personal favorite, Mother’s Little Helper. Very much liked your reaction

    This is what happens when Jagger did read the masterpiece The master nd Margarita, a fantastic book and a fantastic song

    • @papercup2517
      @papercup2517 Год назад

      I have to try and read it again... It was too dark for me first time around (when I was quite ill, incidentally, so that may have had an effect on my tolerance level); I could only get through a few chapters before the psychological discomfort was too great to go on.
      Others tell me, it's OK, it's all just allegory and satire on Communist Russia/ the Soviet Union, but that didn't help me for some reason. Was it taking it too literally, or the sense of foreboding, an atmosphere of claustrophobia that hinted at something dark and depressing in the Russian soul/ mentality that upset me so much? I don't know. But I'd certainly be fascinated to see a similar novel based in the present day, against a backdrop of Putin's Russia and the war in Ukraine.
      Anyway, I'm going to have another go at The Master and Margarita and see if I can handle it better second time around. Thanks Jonas for reminding me! 🙂

    I’m so glad I watched this video. You got this song in the deep place your supposed to get it. I was 14 yrs old when this song first came, it blew me away then like it blows me away now. Try Gimme Shelter, it’s great.

    The Stones have been introduced as "The best Rock 'N Roll band in the World" for decades. From 1967(ish) to 1974(ish), they undoubtedly were. "Sympathy" is one of the cornerstones of modern Rock music.
