I feel like sticking my nose in all the exhaust and just smell the smokes

I think it's funny none of these cold start diesel compilation videos ever have duramax's in them. In the bowls of Montana in the middle of winter mine always starts right up, never any issues.
I do love seeing the smoke rings though. That's pretty sweet.

Some starts are looking a bit like a steam train funnel! Mike

A Cummins with a huge exhaust pipe...yeahs, thats going to be a process 🙄

It actually would help in starting the truck as bigger exhaust pipe means more exhaust flow

Seems like an aftermarket wrap or paint

Instead of performing maintenance, just abuse the starter motor.

@@clarkwilliams9967no it’s just a lack of a block heater. Diesel have started like this for 30+ years lol but for some reason now it’s a lack of maintenance

@@austinfrancis9723probly a little bit of both, obviously the ancient ones are gonna b tempermental, but i have owned several old diesels and they pop right off in the dead of winter no plugs or heater

New starter would fix that problem.

These guys have strong batteries in their vehicles.
And terrible starting technique. Maybe run the grid heater glowplugs a little bit longer. My 30 year old Mercedes diesel starts first even in cold weather.

The blue Ford owner is performing a cold start when the grass is still green? So it's like -5c? That's not a cold start

No properly maintained diesel takes that long to start. These are all unmaintained P0S
