Once again your latest video on a Thunderbirds Christmas episode, reminds us of the incredible world building & characters created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson, Derek Meddings & Mike Trim. It was a vision of a positive future, using technology to make the world a better place. While this might not have completely happened we are now starting to see electric vehicles are common place, soon will have electric & hydrogen fuel cell powered aircraft & hydrogen airships. On holiday in Canada saw a hydrogen powered train carrying passengers & with the increased installation of tidal energy (Orkney) more availability of electricity/green hydrogen & secure energy to help reduce the cost of living crisis. So the warm glow of nostalgia from the 1960s-70s finally begins to pay dividends & the genius of Gerry Anderson’s vision is vindicated.
Love that you finally got your Tracy Island :D The deep wound, finally healed! I used to love Thunderbirds as a kid, but I think Star Wars kind of veered me off in other directions, so I never really followed it on much. But I still have a lot of fond memories of it, along with Captain Scarlet, Stingray, and Joe 90 to a lesser degree. I kind of wish that they still made some programs in this style, it's a great format. Cheers for the vid! And a bit late, but Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
