thank you soooo much, i finally told my mom i wanted an apple watch and she asked why i never expressed that i wanted one. she had one whole time in here night drawer but it just needed to be reset cause she forgot the password. this is mad long for no reason but this worked and i now i have apple watch so thank you :)
This allowed a factory reset of the app watch and a pairing to a new phone but now wants the Apple ID and password of original user. I found this watch and the user but after a year they wouldn't pick up the device. I thought by factory resetting it would allow connection to another Apple ID. Am I missing something?
This was helpful unlike the apple support that said tap the crown after the first step. By the way, the false tap will reveal the Erase faster when you try to move your finger
If this doesn't work, hold both side buttons, when the apple logo comes up release them and hold the side button until the reset option comes up. For some reason this worked while the advice in the video did not.

I visited the website above 👆and they were able to unlock my series 6 which was locked. I bought the watch on eBay without knowing about the lock but I’m happy they were able fix it.

For a series 5 watch instead of a forced touch hold down the Digital Crown instead.
