This doesn’t remove activation lock, just starts the set up from beginning but the watch is still locked to the previous owner.

I found a iwatch se, I took it home and reset it and when I go to pair it to my phone it says “update watch to continue” and when I do that it’ll say “unpairing watch”. And I keeps on doing that so I can’t connect it to my phone 😢
Ok quick update. I finally fixed this issue, all I had to do is update to the latest iOS version. All good now thank you.

no it doesnt, theres no way to get around the activation lock without the original owner or contacting apple.

No, unfortunately, these are just spam bots that just jump in the comments of any video related to unlocking Apple watches. This trick does work in some cases, but not every time. If the person you bought it from can provide you a receipt that has the IMEI or serial number for the watch on it, then there is a process with Apple you can go through to unlock your watch. I have all my life used android devices but last Christmas I was gifted an iPad.
