    Ya know for my first 3 children ages conceived and birthed 27-34. I never tried or didn't try, I really took it for granted, now I'm 41 and TTC, and it's crazy how much goes into it and I'm thinking of my gosh I would have lost my mind had I done this everytime 😱😳 I'm so blessed to have 3 children, I had a miscarriage in Dec and so it's become very stressful. I just sat to those who are young and older just appreciate, and let go of the control. I've decided this is what I need because I wasn't stressing about it before. Not one time did I ever think, I could lose the baby in my first three and because I've been so obsessed and reading listening watching everything , I have this constant fear. Ugh. Thank you so much for your videos, it's nice this is available to us❤️🙏

    I have learned so much from your channel and I am so thankful for you!! But the biggest lesson that I have learned so far is that getting pregnant is definitely not easy and the toll it can take on your mental health can be defeating 😕 We have been actively trying since Nov 2021. All testing comes back normal for both me and my hubby. My cycles are always regular and we both take a strict vitamin regime. We had our first appointment with a fertility specialist last week. If we don’t have any success this month, we will try super-ovulation + IUI next month and pray for a miracle to happen! 🙏🏻😢

They don't care and the appointment always feels rushed. That's why I hate going to the Drs but I know they're necessary. I had my main obgyn and my sister in law(nurse) miss my fibroid after i told them I could feel it by touching my lower abdomen. Hopefully one day I'll find another one I'm comfortable with and that acts like they care even a little 🤷🤷 sometimes I wish I could go to some of the obgyns that give advice on yt like you. Y'all seem like more genuine Drs than what I've come in contact with!

    I’m so glad I came across your videos.
    I went to my obgyn but they didn’t do any testing.
    I was told I had pcos and insulin resistance at age 15. I just turned 29. I was also born with a closed tube neural defect. My obgyn told me she doesn’t believe that I have PCOS just a hormone imbalance and want me to go for further testing again to see if I have PCOS but then stopped taking patients after five so I wasn’t able to ever get into that program. She also told me that I don’t have to worry about having a closed tube neural defect because all I have to do is just take folic acid and I won’t pass it to my child. We’ve been trying to get pregnant for seven months now and nothing has worked. I started using the inito fertility monitor and I apparently didn’t even ovulate last month according to this monitor. I’ve been switching out my lifestyle and the things that I use and nothing seems to be working so I’m at a loss for words. I called my OB/GYN to make a follow up visit but they told me that everything I was doing was fine just to keep trying that it might take me a year. Seven months in I figured you know I would’ve been pregnant by now. When should I go see a fertility specialist?

    • @fionacofield8368
      @fionacofield8368 Год назад +1

      I went months before my obgyn was willing to write the referral. But I used my own money bc insurance wouldn't cover without the referral.
      Best $ I ever spent. They found out I have a low thyroid and it has taken me 4 months to correct. With the levels I had before, I would have miscarried repeatedly and not known why.
      See if your doc is willing to check your prolactin and thyroid at the very least.
      To get and stay pregnant, you need to have your THS under 2.5.
      Prolactin should be under 25 in order to get pregnant.
      Best of luck!

    Good afternoon Dr. Crawford.
    My OBGYN has told me not to have sex every day because it lowers our chances. He believes that having sex every other day is the answer. However, my peak came today, the day after my husband and I did it. He told us to hold on until tomorrow because of the sperm count.
    My question is, how much will that affect our chances? Should we not do it after all? Or could we do it today and again tomorrow to compensate for the count?
    Thank you so much for your time and help.

    Thanks for the info! I find it interesting that you wonder if methylated folate is as effective as folic acid, because a large portion of the population have MTHFR mutations that don’t allow their bodies to really access folic acid, meaning the methylated version would work better for those people. Curious what your thoughts are on that?

  • @jacquelinestuerzl
    @jacquelinestuerzl 9 месяцев назад +3

    I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this yet. But for people like me folic acid is toxic. I am homozygous for the MTHFR mutation and can only process about 20% of the folic acid I consume (into methylated folate). It is imperative I only take supplements with methylated folate because of this. Not sure if you were aware of the mutation. But that's why more expensive prenatals are starting to use methylated folate instead of folic acid, because there's a not insubstantial portion of the population that cannot process folic acid. Even heterozygous carriers only process around 60-70%

    Thank you for the channel, the informations you give are precious and I listen to you with great interest.
    I am 36 years old and I would like to have my second child. 3 weeks ago I had a laparoscopic op. for endometriosis, after which the diagnosis of diffuse adenomyosis was made too. My case of endometriosis was not very advanced but a very painful one, fortunately the ovaries and fallopian tubes are not involved. 11 years ago I gave birth by caesarean section and since then I have been dealing with stronger and heavier than before pains during menstruation and ovulation. 2 years ago I had a miscarriage at 9 week. Could my adenomyosis affect fertility, if I manage to get pregnant are there risks for the mother or the fetus during pregnancy? Since I know I have anemia, it is always at the low limit, I started taking iron supplements for a while now. What other vitamins are safe and I should supplement before pregnancy, and how long after this operation can we start trying to conceive?
    Thank you very much! ❤️

    Honestly, I don't see why any woman would want to get pregnant. Pregnancy puts a lot of strain on a woman's body, and it is very dangerous, and it has a lot of risks, and a pregnancy lasts 9 months. Also, childbirth is very painful. And also, raising children is very hard.
    Personally, I think being childfree would be a lot better than having children. It's been proven that single childfree women are happier. Studies prove single, childless, women are the HAPPIEST demographic. Women are the happiest when single and focused on themselves.

    Not criticizing you but I feel like it would be nice if you looked at the camera more when you’re talking
