I'm reposting this reply Brynne left addressing the 7 year old controversy against Nick. I think it's important to have the facts and we have read all the available information online.
@brynnferno
"Hi Luna, Brynne here. I’d like to address your concerns regarding Nick, as I’ve seen several comments from you pop up since the release of the first video. I’m all too familiar with how infuriating and demoralizing it is to experience and bear witness to sexism, objectification, and misogyny-not to mention the violence and abuse borne by it. It feels inescapable.
Like every woman, I’ve dealt with a lifetime of having my self-efficacy and credibility brought into question by men trying to gain some sort of upper hand, be it deliberately or unconsciously. Classic ingrained patriarchal bullshit. Because of this, I’ve become acutely sensitive to the ways in which allegations are shared, as a woman’s credibility will always be the first and most crucial line of defense that men will attempt to destroy in response.
When it comes to making allegations, especially publicly, ambiguity is the enemy. A thorough recount of events is essential to establish and maintain one’s credibility against the inevitable onslaught of hole-pokers. This due diligence also guards against creating a world in which we grant vague allegations the power to condemn the entirety of someone’s existence thereafter. It's a precarious balance that requires constant scrutiny to be kept in check.
With that being said, the ‘multiple allegations’ made against Nick are, uh… vague, in addition to only one source being a direct one.
Reading through the Google doc of allegations, AKA the “master list,” the only entries remotely resembling ‘evidence’ are the screenshots of DMs between Nick and ‘soulspear.’ All they are evidence of, however, is a supremely cringe-inducing interaction that certainly reflects poorly on Nick’s character. Everything else is hearsay. The last entry regarding an AirTag maliciously being “planted” in a GBA case that ended up getting…. lost….. is so mind-bogglingly ridiculous that I’m just going to leave it at that.
Looking deeper, I couldn’t help but notice that you seem to be the sole person recirculating the allegations against Nick. Your entire Reddit history beginning 5 months ago-100% of it-is doing just that. This strikes me as odd. Is this the behavior of a person standing up for the victims of sexual predator, or one who has some sort of personal vendetta against the accused? There have been so many instances of true sexual predation brought to light, more recently and certainly more credibly, but the Nick Robinson controversy, from seven years ago, is where all of your efforts seem to be focused. There’s something strange about that. If this is a personal vendetta, perhaps there’s a good reason for its existence. But with no basis or transparency thereof, it seems in the territory of unhealthy fixation.
I don’t doubt that Nick objectified women, a then-mid-twenties cisgendered heterosexual male in a pre-#MeToo era. And I don’t doubt the likelihood that tactless, unwanted interactions with women occurred. But being tactless does not deem someone a sexual predator. Trying to enforce the perpetual persecution of one very specific person, for a handful of very non-specific allegations, totally trivializes the overall plight women are still up against. It’s the behavior of people like you that is cherry-picked and exemplified to discredit and make a mockery of victims who do come forward with legitimate allegations.
If there is someone who was harmed by Nick in some way, and they’re inclined to make it public, then they will. Until then, for the sake of women everywhere, give it a fucking rest."
It wasn't pre-me too era LMAO. And even if that were true, that doesn't really excuse any of it. Also at the end of the day he's not really entertaining either but I guess we'll have to disagree on that. Just don't think he's worth taking a credibility hit to defend but that's just my opinion I guess. Like I'm all for learning and improving as people, but he should do that not as a public figure. He's demonstrated not being able to be trusted with power, if he's actually dedicated to that he wouldn't have just rebranded and kept grinding out content to new audiences.
Also would love to what is so ridiculous about the air tag thing is ridiculous cause many women are stalked that way lmao, I know quite a handful myself.
@@kumquatted As somebody who personally didn’t find him all that entertaining but finds all the faux drama to be overblown and beyond drawn out? Let the poor guy “cook”. If he is a legit bad person then ppl around him will be able to tell. Tbh was more disappointed in the others’ sexual comments, and wouldn’t have noticed anything about him if didn’t check the comments section, just because was excited about a new Spyfall vid. He seems a bit withdrawn/calculating but as another psychologically-variant/potentially-presenting-oddly individual (who is not a trained professional), simply cannot judge that. We don’t know him in real life. So we don’t pass judgement. Never understood that paradoxically-parasocial mentality. Not that we would judge him (or you) if we knew/get to know you in rl. But we’re going with Brynne & D on this one. As any of us really should. If anybody doesn’t trust their judgement then maybe you just need to move on.
Edit: And AMEN, Brynne!!! Holy moly, you managed to find you a writer, D!! When you marrying her? 0xD
@@TheUnsubScribe I mean the people around him COULD tell years ago when everyone in the games journalism industry got fed up and cut him off. Also to that point plenty of people often can't tell lmao. That's why most people know way more people who have been assaulted than they know people who have assaulted people. You can't just psychically sense bad intent LMAO.
I think this was a really good response, well written and respectful. I really appreciate the middle ground between believing victims that are constantly discredited simply for being women (been there) and not trusting every vague accusation to ruin one person's life forever. I also think its so important to remember how young the internet is! men in their 50's today were absolutely horrible in their 20's and got away with it because the internet didn't record it. Some of them are probably very respected people today because they grew up. That doesn't excuse anything men do to hurt people in their 20's, but its important to remember that people do grow and learn and change. In todays world, people aren't allowed second chances ever.
@@kumquatted You certainly laugh a lot about something that really isn’t funny.
The bank Joke(r) question was too good that everyone missed it
I think it's because the other guys D usually plays with (corridor crew guys) they are such movie conosours and used movie references in a lot of their questions. But it looks like at least 3 of the guys seem like the type where they aren't hardcore movie fans to the point where they go "oh... tell a joke is a reference to that opening Dark Knight scene where the joker robs a bank".
@@agentkirb It definitely went over their heads but I could have phrased it better. They're also new so they are simply thinking literally and not in references yet.
@@Node thing is, i played it often with friens and they are not cinophile so its hard making references about movies if some people haven't seen it nor is it easy to make references when people are not looking for them. i realised references only work for ceertain people.
Just like everyone missing that Nick Robinson is a sex pest.
Man, this brings back so many good memories. Node has gotten me through some tough times - getting sober, being homeless for a while - I'm always excited to see new material.
Thanks for all you've done over the years, D.
Appreciate you watching over all these years, glad you're in better times now!
Same, brother! Good to hear you’re faring fairly. 🫂
First game, D just answered questions in a way that made him more suspicious than nick
Yeah I don't know why I did that, I think I was trying not to give it away but I made myself look really sus.
How did Nick get away with giving the worst Spyfall answers known to man? How high were you guys 😂
the money angle threw Dee off but he didnt think on how generic it was
Aren't three of those guys basically new players? That's how it happens. At that point, it's hard to tell if it's a bad answer because he's new at the game or if it's an actual bad answer.
How did Nick get away with successfully rebranding himself, even after accusations of him doing some truly awful things?
@XylAU he did muchhh worse than that
They're drinking beers, so very high?
The Dr Disrespect joke at the very end aged like milk!
Brooklyn not knowing how to lie given the pressure was so funny 😂
Does no one care that Nick put up a creepy youtube video of his ex-girlfriend against her wishes?
The comments defending Nick are so gross!!! Why people still like him after being outed as a sex pest is beyond me
I miss airsoft TTT
Off topic, much? 😂😭 Same- but Spyfall is infinitely easier to host, record, edit, produce, etc.
Edit: Enjoy the good times! Airsoft is SUPER hard to schedule, as well. Know that D wants to play airsoft with the lads just as much as we want him to do so. 😔
Finally someone said it in my knowledge thx @@TheUnsubScribe
Airsoft is coming soon!
@@NodeTHANK YOU!!! I enjoy the other content as well, but TTT is my first love.
After recent events, I think Nick should rename his cat 😂
these spyfall videos have the be some of my favorite things to watch on youtube, let alone the Node channel. Always so many laughs!
SPYFALL IS SO BACK BABY. Ive been binging the entire series. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Even after all these years, I still love this show so much, and I rewatch spyfall episodes now and then. I thought this episode was great fun, it was fun to see some new faces!
Lmaooo when Brooke was laughing hysterically.
Missed opportunity to use the Train theme for the passenger train
MORE SPYFALL!!!!!!
More on the way!
Late to this party but Nick is a terrible person. Nick, when are you going to apologize for everything you did?
What’s the point of roles if you’re answering out of role?
this makes my day lets gooooooo love this long standing content been an OG now for several years
YUSSSS was just binging this recently
never missed a spyfall ep!
More Spyfall 😍 Love it, this is what Node is about for me :)
I miss ttt and the old crew hahaha i feel old
whoever is editing a single camera feed into looking like its 3 camera live operated is doing a great job
There's definitely at least 2 cameras, the two people on the left are shown from a different angle pretty regularly.
I've commented this before, but I enjoy watching Spyfall on Node and I'd really love to see the Node crew take on Blood on the Clocktower- one of my favorite social deduction games.
Y'all just cool with Nick Robinson now?
Spyfall is back 🙏🏻
Holy fuck, that Lance of Longinus tattoo is sick
The first game was frustrating because there was no reason to suspect D and Nick first answer was a dead giveaway because it was asked for his role not him.
This was a good vibe. Good crew.
That feeling when the sweet sweet SPYFALL EPISODE hits your brain (ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣ ͜ ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣ ˶ )♡
YES SPYFALL! MY FAVOURITE!
I would like to see more video game content. Especially VR
This was fun but I felt a little confused at times where you would answer not as your role but as your irl person.
They've always played this way, usually they only answer as their role if it's specified in the question.
Hey D, appreciate the videos and certainly hope you're still enjoying making content, especially since it seems like you're having fun with friends. I've watched your videos since I was a kid and loved your airsoft content in-specific and would go almost a full day just watching you and the crew basically stab each other in the back (Even as a kid, I knew you were the coolest) I wish you well and thank you for the wonderful childhood.
Thanks man I appreciate the kind words and for still watching after all these years!
- D
It's great that this aired on a Monday
Monday's a big day!
Can't believe node is doubling down on having nick robinson on the channel even after the outpour of criticism. Really a sad day as I used to enjoy their videos and corridor crew but now I can't watch them in good conscience. D, I hope you realize how many people you're turning off by platforming someone with sexual harassment allegations.
I CALLED THE PART 2 >:)
Miss the TTT Airsoft videos 😢
D: felix?
Me: immediately thinking of straykids 😂
Guys! Subscribe so D can buy new socks 🙏
1 spyfall hell yeah 2 D got a whole In his sock.
Node is still a thing?
YES
I wish for more of the films channel you guys dud
nice
Mooorrrreeeee
Yeahhhhh spyfall
2nd game Nick most definitely saw the location on Brooklyn's phone. She was looking the other way and had her phone just open facing him and you can see him look right at it. Weak sauce. check @7:50
It would be cool if the boys made atleast one more vid with you, and not just the Smash tournament. I thought you were gonna play the AoT tribute game when the anime ended. Or last year when it was the 10 year anniversary.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I NEED ANOTHER SAM, NIKO, SAM, AND BRANDON DND!!!!!!
Oh, God- that would be too cool to happen. You know Corridor would just make it a paid member season anyway. 😞
Even if it’s not D, it’s D
You shouldn't be allowed to ask personal questions like Alex was asked at the end. Makes it so unfair 😢
very cute doggy
Lol D always the spy but never actually the spy
It's my curse
first? Love spyfall as always
Take it, plz. The actual first was some bot spouting off against post-secondary protestors 😂
Edit: And same!!!
Make more vr
Nick is a horrible person and it's embarrassing that you keep having him in videos and are defending him. Really shows your true character...
Nick getting spy so many times is hilarious omg. The fact that he also got first question multiple times just added on to that 🤣
Is anyone else just waiting for a pubg video with the old gang
Look up Nick Robinson allegations...the fact that Node keeps having him on their channel is absolutely terrible

AGREED
Nah
Damn you got bodied. Congrats on being the reason other women arent taken serious.👏
@@brynnferno Reposting this here for additional visibility:
First off, your statement that there was only one direct source of allegations made against Nick is objectively FALSE. In the Google Doc there are direct allegations from SouIspear, Elia Cat, and if you include the allegation from 2024 from Nick’s ex-girlfriend Samantha (she said she asked for Nick to not have her in his RUclips video and for him to take it down, which he didn’t) that’s three right there. That’s also not including direct allegations that have since been deleted and/or were behind locked Twitter accounts. Also, I have received a new anonymous allegation from one of Nick’s victims before he was fired from Polygon. I just got a request from them to share their story and I have added it to the beginning of the Google Doc.
There is much more evidence than the screenshots shown by SouIspear. She herself criticizes the age gap (she was barely 18, he was 26), how he would and how he inappropriately used his influence as a content creator. Elia Cat’s screenshot of the “send nudes” picture he sent and how it made them (Elia Cat) feel uncomfortable is evidence. Unless you think the people who made allegations such as ““he knowingly and arrogantly sexually harassed people for YEARS” are lying, then those statements could be considered evidence too. Do you believe the people alleging Nick had some extremely creepy behavior are lying? The fact that such a large number of people raised alarms about Nick should be a huge concern. Do you think it’s more likely that there’s a grand conspiracy against him and everyone is just making stuff up, or that the statements are all truthful? I know it’s not a black and white binary like that, but at least think about which side of the spectrum is more likely to be true. When you look at the allegations as a whole and see the scope of just how many people have come to the same consensus that Nick was a huge creep, it’s pretty convincing proof of it having at least some validity. Nick’s coworkers/close friends such as Griffin McElroy cut him off completely and that is very telling too. They clearly were not condemning him for nothing.
Regarding the AirTag bit, maybe she gave him consent to include it in the GBA case, maybe she didn’t - we don’t know the full details of the situation - but it still is a red flag to me that HE was in control of the AirTag rather than her, even though it was HER GBA AND HER OWN PERSONAL BELONGING. I’ll share the words of someone commenting on Reddit that I think did a good job of articulating why it’s weird:
“AirTags are great for helping you find your lost things. They are also great for helping your creepy ex know where you are as long as you've got that thing on you.
She lost the GameBoy, an AirTag probably would have helped her find it. Nick could have given her a brand new one, and if she chose to use it, then SHE would be able to set it up on her terms and SHE would have more control over over had access to it. And who didn't have access to it, for example her ex-boyfriend.”
I’m all for rehabilitation and I do think people can change/grow. I know this stuff happened a long time ago and for all we know, maybe he has learned something and matured significantly since then. The problem is he never properly apologized or took full accountability for his actions, let alone even acknowledging them as anything other than “embarrassingly flirting” and “using Twitter to hit on people”. He never once used the word “harassment” despite many people specifically calling him out for that, as well as other offenses and problematic areas. The allegation of him refusing to take down a video that features his ex-girlfriend against her wishes, as well as the allegations of him creating alts on Twitter to defend himself suggest that he hasn’t entirely changed for the better.
Lastly, you know what’s part of the reason not many victims have come out with allegations directly? Because of people like you who will dismiss their allegations as illegitimate or not enough. Because of Nick preferring to communicate through Snapchat, making it hard to have “receipts”. Because of Nick using intimidation tactics to silence his victims, which has been corroborated by several people. Because of the fear of doxxing or death threats from people who are unhappy with them speaking out against Nick. In my research on what went on in 2017 when the allegations first came out, I literally found a post where someone had fully doxxed one of the alleged victims so I know that’s a very real fear. Obviously I’m not going to say any more specifics about it, because I don’t want anyone finding it and causing trouble with the information, but it is out there. There are so many complicated reasons for why people are afraid to talk about how Nick hurt them. I’ll end my response with a quote from the Blackburn Center, an organization advocating to end sexual violence. I acknowledge that this page is about sexual violence and not sexual harassment in general, but I think the principle of believing victims very comparable. I encourage you to read the whole page, which you can find by searching for "On Believing Victims"
"The concept of believing victims also asks us, as individuals, to set aside our desire to act as judge and jury and to demand proof. In many cases, there will be no hard evidence that sexual violence occurred. As millions of victims and survivors can attest, a lack of hard evidence does not mean that the assault did not happen. When we automatically side with the accused and pick apart a victim’s story due to lack of hard evidence, we are upholding the very culture that makes sexual violence all too prevalent in our culture. We also place a tremendous burden on victims.
Talking about sexual violence is challenging. This is particularly true when the person who has been accused is someone that we like or respect. The ambiguity of these situations can be particularly hard, because in most cases, we have no way of ever truly knowing what happened. When we ask you to believe victims, we are requesting you to sit with that ambiguity - instead of finding reasons to pull apart their story and decide that they lack credibility. By doing this, you can be part of the movement to end sexual violence."
More airsoft content when?
what happened to this channel?
They decided to platform Nick Robinson, a known sex pest with numerous sexual harassment allegations
Stop giving creeps a platform
so you guys are really going to keep platforming "fired from polygon due to sexual misconduct" Nick Robinson???
Huh?
According to google, 7 years ago, he accepted responsibility, apologized to the offended party and public. At some point, we the audience have to support people in making effort to grow from their mistakes or we are the ones encouraging them to simply continue making mistakes if we don't allow an alternative. Your dog piling & shaming of a minor celebrity isn't going to affect or discourage the abusers in your own community. And shit, the man's gotta have a job to eat at some point.

@@jays8990 except he didn't accept responsibility or apologize to the extent he should've. all he claimed he did was awkward flirting which doesn't even come close to covering the seriousness of the allegations. it's arguable that he very quickly became more successful on youtube than he was at polygon before he got fired so he never really had to learn much of a lesson...
