As soon as they pointed out Bryn in the last round I was like oh shit her question was 50/50 and a lot of these places you don't pack a lot of clothes for.

I was trying to decide because I did kind of think Brett knew it based off his question. So I was definitely leaning towards Bryn, especially after I saw how fast she rose her hand for Brett after sussing Crim.

As an alternative way to hide the roles, may I suggest something. What if you showed the role for 5 seconds with a directive to skip for 2 or 3 seconds before you show it

5s:"Roles revealed "
Then reveal the roles again when you're discussing the game
I think this is a really good way to do it
It'd be cool to have the place hidden with the roles too. But usually the inserts give away the place, so idk
I was thinking the same thing. Instead of one set of people being disappointed let everyone watch how they want.

Mm I use to hate it how he'd be the spy and he'd try to 360 no scope the location and never get it lol. Use to cut all the games short. But I loved him when he played it normally.

About showing the role : Maybe show the role at the start of the round, then hide it ?
That way we can choose if we want to see them or not

Crazy after all these years, you guys still upload Spyfall. Insane dedication, it's by far my favourite ongoing series from you guys
I liked the murder mystery ones better, jet is just so funny
I love that Brett is wearing his own "oh what up sooon?" shirt :), also I played spy fall recently with some college friends sitting down for a game night on our couch and it was a ton of fun and I thought of it because of all the great Node spy fall videos.

Another idea for early Spy callouts to consider, how about putting Spy identities alongside the Round counts/ time links in the description? Very low chance of accessing that area unintentionally, and also drives people to the other content in that area.

Maybe not only "hide the roles" but also "hide the location" so we can feel like the spy does. Which is often a great feeling when you know and they don't know that you know.
I think that we should be able to play along as the spy sometimes. So maybe hide everything but the spy, or just everything period.
It's kinda cute that Brynne picked up the "Sweet innocent baby boy" from D, I heard him saying that in so many Node videos and now she says it too :D

Loved it as always. One idea could be to also hide the location to viewers so we get to try and guess the location as well. Or you could do that thing you did in that one video and make us a player as well. That was super fun.

People who want the roles shown want to see a story play out. People who want the roles hidden want play the game themselves.

I like the mix because personally I prefer knowing who is spy so I can see how they play. The mix lets everyone play along in a way.
Don't get me wrong, I love these Spyfall videos with new cast of Bryn, Brett, Cliff + special guest - but I would absolutely love to see a video with the original cast of D, Sam, Niko, and Brandon. I know that the schedules of the 3 probably (almost definitely) make it impossible for this to become a reality, but a man can dream ♥️

I quite enjoyed not knowing and trying figure it out, got it right btw, I'd go with what other people are suggesting and have the roles pop for a few seconds at the start for those who don't want to play along.

I think the best solution to covering roles or not is to just give a moment of warning before showing the info to the next round. Let people cover what info they don't want to know. Sometimes I listen along and try to figure out the place instead of the spy

Maybe you could show us the roles during the title card for each round? People who want to know the roles can see it alongside the location, and then afterwards they're all hidden once the round gets started

Not knowing the role is way better, it’s more fun to try and figure out who the spy might be along with everyone else, the reveal is way better too

I've loved the Spyfall episodes since OG Node days, but if everyone is gonna play by the timer as a rule, I wish people would ask more questions instead of debating during the timer...debating can happen once time runs out idk i miss the strategy and inside jokes and clever puns from older episodes.
The visible roles are amazing but also too much at times. If you have visible roles, as the spectator, that builds suspense (rather than showing now). Another way you can build suspense is have the possible locations but no roles visible, like inviting the audience to play as the spy and they get to guess based off of the asked questions

Yeah, it's definitely better when you know who the spy is
I want to hide the roles and location but still watch. But the editing style where it shows the location in little movie clips making it impossible to challenge myself.
I mean u could have a edited version with and without in 2 separate videos but I know that's alot extra work
