If you have a Lacrosse Leather, the Air box clips will be slightly different than this, there will be two on the left side, just take a flat head screwdriver and pry them open. Also, some of the electrical clips won't be exactly the same or in the same spot. I did NOT remove the air filter box, I just covered the filter as it was not necessary to remove. Also I did not fully remove the Intake Manifold, I removed the bolts then I was able to loosen it enough to move it out of the way and get the job done. Hope this helps!
Absolutely the Best how to video i have seen! You provided a remarkable, detailed explanation and can not thank you enough for your efforts. Am still not sure i will attempt since my mechanical skills are marginal at best. Trying to convince myself to give it a shot🤙
Excellent, detailed video! Thank you so much for your time to create it. 1st instinct, "dang! remove the intake?" Easy peasy. Even swapped out an impossible to reach O2 sensor to rid myself of the pesky "check engine" light. Thanks! Top shelf!!
I was able to change the plugs ONLY because of your great detailed video!!!. Incredible and saved me $500. Even your detail son how to unclip various clip types was a life saver. Thanks a million. When doing the job I noticed top of intake valves were covered in junk ....so it lead me to spray full can of sea foam in throttle....Is this what you would recommend? also I still have a slight hesitation at idle and acceleration between gears...(cleaned Mass Air Sensor, new plugs, new air filter, cleaned throttle body,)...what is next to do?
I might have missed it or I’m just not understanding something but the spark plugs are visibly accessible without taking everything off. So is there a special reason for disconnecting everything?
Total time 2 hours but I snapped a bolt on the throttle body. I’ll have to try and find a replacement. I changed the purge valve because it was throwing codes for that. 2011 Buick Lacrosse CXL, 150k miles. I was getting multiple codes for misfires and purge valve related issues. So we’ll see if this solves the problem
Maybe ours is different, but we have a 2015 Buick Lacrosse hybrid and I just had to remove the oil cap, remove 1 t25 screw, take the cover off and proceed to unplug and undo 1 bolt holding each coil.. took about 30 minutes to do all 4 spark plugs, torqued to 20lbs and anti seize on the threading
Excellent video but misleading. You never mention the intake gasket. You use the same edited video for the gasket swap which there is no problem. You could at least mention to watch another video for the gasket. On this video you can barely see you replaced the gasket. MISLEADING.
Look complicated but all you need is to move intake manifold back to have room to remove the plug. Manifold doesnt need to remove completely like it shown here on this video
You made this job much harder than needed. It is much easier to connect a ratchet strap to the front and engine and tilt it forward. There are two YT videos where guys worked on older model GM cars but I am sure you can use their tips to adapt it to this engine: ruclips.net/video/UXXkgRlA5rg/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/X-WYj1l5bTE/видео.html. They connect it slightly differently, but both gets the job done.

I changed my mind, will send it to the mechanic.

Helping my husband right now going thru this tutorial thanks a million!! It was very easy!! Saved $400

Thank you for the excellent video! I followed it step by step and had no trouble.
That was very well explained. Thank you so much. It's been years since I worked on a car that was a little more than points and condensers 😆

Going to attempt this. Thank you for the detailed steps.
Thankyou for this detailed video without the BS
Excellent guide! Thumbs up
Thank you for making these videos!
Great, great how-to video. I was expecting the intake gasket on my lacrosse to be bad, which they were, so I changed them as well.
I got exhausted just watching the video. But a really good video.
+Gary Huntsman Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
I bought ac delco spark plugs do i have to use a spacer to gap them or are they already plug and play? I dont know im asking...
Great video but Don't forget to replace the intake gasket if you don't wanna do the job twice
WOW!! You spend more time taking the top half off than you do replacing the plugs!
Total time 2 hours but I snapped a bolt on the throttle body. I’ll have to try and find a replacement.

Thank you so much for the wonderful video you help me work on my son's car
RUclips you are the best.
How often to change trans fluid on 2011 Buick lacrosse
Hello Great video and work, how did you do the back plugs, was it difficult.
Do you have to disconnect everything in order to get to the spark plugs?
Doesnt seem difficult, just a ton of steps. Thanks for the detailed video though, not many vidoes thare are quality like this one
Why did you put all new coils and new coil bolts too ? Looks like some coils were already non-OEM ? And why the new throttle body ?
Bout as fun as changing head light bulbs...that's a challenge too
Do you need to buy a new intake gasket ?????
Can you please make a video on how to replace the alternator for this vehicle?
Excellent video but misleading. You never mention the intake gasket. You use the same edited video for the gasket swap which there is no problem. You could at least mention to watch another video for the gasket. On this video you can barely see you replaced the gasket. MISLEADING.
these modern cars today are so complicated to work on, everything in there is compacted together ,
Yea true , too bad it’s gotta be this way :/. God bless us all ✌️♥️
No gasket under the intake?
I'm lucky I didn't buy this car. You have to take apart almost half of the motor to replace the spark plugs. Thats insane 😳
Good video thank you God Bless
Look complicated but all you need is to move intake manifold back to have room to remove the plug. Manifold doesnt need to remove completely like it shown here on this video
Do I have to change the spark plug coils? Couldn’t I reuse the factory ones?
Yes you can reuse it along as the rubber aint cracked or ripped.
How about the spark plugs in the back?
Yeah!
No one on the internet shows how to mess with 1, 3 and 5 plugs
Great tutorial
Does this car have Wires Also or just spark plugs????
No wires. Plugs and coils.
There is a wire harness
How much would it cost me if I decided to have a macanic do it ?
$350 bucks
Not in n.y.s
I don’t have a sensor on my air box. But I do have the 3.6L V6
Thank you!
Similar to an 09 Acadia I did for my daughter. Takes about 2-3 hours.
Manifold covers are a pain. Fords are easier
Jeez 🤯 you’ve taken the whole car apart.. 🤦♀️
And the dealer charge $400 for 4 hours of labor and you did it in 15mns you the truth..
No mention of the intake gasget. Not good.
Changing spark plugs used to be easy, but these modern engineers make things a total mess to work on.

Why did he take the Air box out after the top was off?
Um, yeah. I just leave this type of work to the pros 😳😬
Philly shit😂
Change transmission fluid and filter
Not like the old days......two dozen steps just to get to the plugs.😮
Alot of that was extra....remove the snorkel....n throttle body....not the whole air box...good job tho
Guessing this car doesnt qualify for a $99 spark plug change. Good Grief.
Ridiculous thanks GM, there making cars so the average guy cant work on them , unlike older cars.
Umm nevermind. Let me pay before I frig something up
