- We are catching some good crappie off the bank. The shad have moved up in the shallows and the crappie have too. There is a certain way these the crappie will bite. Most of the time it is a short pull then stop for about 3 to 5 seconds and then repeat. they strike most of the time during the pause. Just had a little time to fish after work but had a great time fishing. Hope you enjoy.

Yes sir I am chasing them now. Having some fun but I had to use jig and bobber, these crappie won't even bite a minnow. I think it's because there are too many shad. Thank you Proud Papaw
That was not a bad catch for 1 hour that was pretty awesome. Whatever happened to you and the beetle spin. I don't get to see you using it that much. You never did say how cold the water was or how what the temperature was outside. Is it okay for you to say where you're at and what river Creek. Anyway I enjoyed your show always do and I like how they come up one or more everyday. I think I learned more by watching your program than any other person fishing for Crappie. I am going to get me them two packages of gold and silver I guess their spoons for your beetle spins with the Willow and the Colorado and Indiana. Yes I'm trying to get me a temperature gauge that I can carry with me again. But I can tell you there was ice on top of the water just a week ago.I had to go to a jig and bobber these fish won't even bite a minnow. I guess they're eating baby shad cuz there's a lot of shad in the creek. But if they get aggressive I will definitely be fishing my gold Beetle spin. I am glad you are enjoying the videos I will be trying to be more informational about what I am doing. I definitely want to share my tips to help others catch more fish. It appears that you are left handed. You need to switch the Crank to the other side to be more efficient since you are casting with your left hand. Then no more switching. That is why it is possible on Spinning Reels to switch the Crank from one side to the other. Unlike Bait Caster Reels. I understand that you are use to casting the way that you do, but if you switch your crank, you will quickly get Confortable casting like you do and cranking with your right hand. It's so much easier.🎣

Man! You went out there and owned that river! The others were probably mad. Hahaha. You tried coaching them up though. I’m in KC and still have cold temps out here. Some days get in the 50s but it’s not enough of them. What are the temps like for you?
This was yesterday and it was almost 50° but that was ice on top of the water about a week ago. We got rain and sleet coming this weekend so it's going to get cold again. I am going to fix me a temp gauge so I can let everyone know what the water temp is. Some times it gives people a good idea of how the fish are biting in colder water. Thank you.

We have got lots of rain but the bait is in here, so the fish are here. They are really tough to catch though because of the rain. They will not touch a minnow.

Yes sir. I have a sharp hook set, that is one reason it's a little lose.
The lose drag it to keep tension on the fish at all times so the fish doesn't shake the hook... Like he said he has a sharp Hook set which means there a chance to tear the lip which makes it easier for the crappie to shake the hook.

It is actually a bar ditch that goes into the main part of the lake. Pretty well the same thing as a creek
