  • Chinese Shadow Puppetry is a form of theatre whereby colourful silhouette figures perform traditional plays against a back-lit cloth screen, accompanied by music and singing. Puppetry spreads knowledge, promotes cultural values and entertains the community, especially the youth.
At the BEIJING SHADOW SHOW TROUPE, we are fourtunate to witness the whole processes of this technique. Puppeteers make the figures from leather or paper and manipulate them by means of rods to create the illusion of moving images. The dedication, perseverance and efforts moved us deeply. After watching this video, we guess you will resonate with us.

    开头片段是川北王皮影,后面又变成了北京皮影,内容发布者这样做不严谨,这两个皮影不一样。
