Within Temptation is sooo underrated and not known enough
I can listen to Sharon sing all day long. I think you will dig the song Supernova from the Resist album. Actually most of the songs on that album are fire. You may also dig the song Faster .. it’s more upbeat and catchy.

Supernova has a strong contemporary pop influence but is more adventurous in the heterogeneity of the material that is mashed into it.
From the same Angel's album "The Silent Force" you can check out for "STAND MY GROUND" (album version, because the official video hasn't his instrumental intro - important).
When "The Purge" was released, a lot of fans felt a certain similarity...
Sharon is amazing. Try The Reckoning, Supernova from their album Resist. Try Faster and Shot in the Dark from the album Unforgiving. Try Paradise and Covered by Roses on the Hydra album. Try Hand of Sorrow and Heart of Everything from the Heart of Everything album and The Howling from Silent Force album
They did change a lot throughout the years. Since you liked The purge I think you would like songs from Resist, their latest album, like Trophy Hunter, The Reckoning or Raise Your Banner (if you would react to this one I will say that official video is cool but I would recommend oficial lyrics video since it's full, longer version of this song) or maybe even some songs from Hydra (which was more guitar oriented, not so much symphonic but not as much electronic as Resist). Cannot wait to see which song from WT will you react to :)

I guess you will probably like "IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT" from the album "The unforgiving" (and the whole album). It's a very conceptual album... heavier and faster withal have orchestral background.
Even better than "The Purge". You will like it!
"In the Middle of the Night" is definitely the song that you are looking for.
I would go for something like Raise your banner (lyrics version, music video doesn't have the guitar solo) or The Reckoning from their Resist album if you're looking for that more electronic rock sound as opposed to their symphonic sound.
The entirety of Resist is a masterpiece, but those two are definitely the highlights imo!

Good reaction,😀 If you like progressive metal, Swedish band Evergrey are awsome. The way they compose the music, there are so many layers. Guitarplaying are just damn good, vocals are one of the best in metal today in my opinion. Their Where August Mourns, from the new album or King of errors from an earlier album, can recommend both for you. They also have a duet with Floor from Nightwish, In Orbit that are showing a different side of her vocals. Hope to see you react to them. (Fun fact: Floor are married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer for Sabaton, and he was earlier drummer for Evergrey😀)

I can understand your point of view as the instrumental part often is more of a supporting than leading part of many within temptation hits.
Though Sharon's voice is what stands out to me from this band.
While I'm not a big fan of the last 2-3 albums from within temptation, it's mainly due to liking their older stuff more.
As you've now reacted to one of their most recent tracks, one from their likely hey days I think you should make a reaction to one of their first hits "Mother Earth by within temptation"
It might still be a bit to focused on the voice but give it a go :)
Not sure if this one would give you as much instrumental as you want, but you could also give "A Demon's Fate" a go
