I bought a 2023 GV70 2,.5L with Sport Prestige trim last month just before the 2024 models hit the dealership. Got a great deal at $5000 off MSRP. Love this car and as a long time Hyundai owner, I was looking at a 2023 Sante Fe Calligraphy model. But for about $3000 more, went with the GV70. Lots of technology built into this vehicle which is insane. The turbocharged 2.5 liter inline 4 engine gives you plenty of power at 300 HP. From this review, it appears that the 2024 model is identical to the 2023 model. One of the nice things is in addition to the long Hyundai warranty, you get 3 years of free valet service, meaning any time you need service (oil change, etc.) the dealership will come pick up your vehicle and leave another Genesis vehicle for you to use while your car is being serviced. No more driving to the dealership for the 1st three years.
I got one to a few months back as well I love this car. I get nothing but praise for it, some people thinks it even looks better that the Porshe Cayenne
Im retired now after an accident at work last year. I've been looking for a yr on the couch for a new car. Im buying one of these to drive around the country and see some stuff before its over. Ive been a slave working my whle life to get hurt at work and have to retire at 52 yrs old. I have a new perspective now. I wasted my life just working. Im gonna enjoy myself a little now and i deserve something nice. No more work trucks and living in motel rooms away from home for work. Gonna drive across the country in one of these and see the country ive worked so hard to live in. Thanks Ben for your time making these reviews.👍👍
I got a Sport Prestige trim too a few months back as well I love this car. I get nothing but praise for it, some people think it even looks better that the Porshe Cayenne. Glad i don't have to go back for 2024 it looks like an exact replica of what i have in my '23
@Brian_Eugene_Lee genesis is basically a more luxurious hyundai and kia is very similar to hyundai after their partnership and who doesn't like Toyota and honda. they make cars that run forever and good fuel economy
I have the 2023 2.5t advance package which I think was the best value $ .. the same trim for 2024 is now missing a few items which were musts for me : the lexicon sound , ventilated front seats , sun blinds , remote parking only now on the prestige trim . I didn’t want the mesh seat pads due to pet hair being trapped .. Definitely the best car I’ve ever had .. also you don’t mention that the Matt paint whilst looking great needs manual careful car washing only ,, /I have the metallic Cardiff green / vanilla and black interior .. I wish I had the full digital dash instead of the part one the advance has. I also preferred the 19 inch wheels for ride quality .
I agree with everything you said, and that's why I got the same one 3 months ago! ( I'm so jelly the Cardiff green was sold out, but love my Capri blue one)
I agree. I’m so glad on purchased the 2023 advanced package that includes the upgraded Lexicon stereo, ventilated seat, remote park, etc. I searched for several months and I finally purchased it in the colors I wanted - Capri blue with the Havana brown interior. Love this SUV!!
I wish I could afford to lease a 2023 GV70 2.5T Advanced or Sport Prestige (or a 2024 GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige), but the pricing on them is so expensive for a lease that I found the Santa Fe Calligraphy to be more in line with my budget & it also has a detuned version of this 2.5 turbo-4 engine which doesn’t need premium gas & it has all of the same luxury & tech features of the GV70 2.5T Advanced & Sport Prestige packages
Thanks, the 2.5 Prestige trim is a beautiful vehicle at $60k, however the Advanced trim at $54k provides the most value. For $60k, I would rather go for the base 6 cylinder with 375 hp.
Test drove this car today and extremely disappointed with the comfort of these seats. I hate this trend of manufacturers putting "sport" seats into comfort-oriented cars. This is an SUV ffs and the seats are as comfortable as Sparco bucket seats.
I can't get past the expanded sheet metal/chain link fence looking grills on these beauties. The grill reminds me of the safety shield on my old air compressor's pulley and flywheel. What was Hyundai thinking? Are there any aftermarket grills out there? There is no shortage of people that could design something.
The guy who designed the car was brought over from Bentley. Genesis also copped Mercedes and BMI folks and gave them free reign. Btw, no parts are shared with Hyundai or Kia. Totally separate division and they are opening 100 separate dealerships this year. There’s one 15 minutes from our humble abode.
Im Purchasing one of these in about a week. I had a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe two. 5T it it was totaled about a week ago. I was a victim. It was not my fault.. Anyway, they’re gonna give me around 19,000 from my Santa Fe when I get that check in about 10 days I’m gonna put another 30 down and then make a very low Monthly payment on final 15,000
Wouldn’t buy another one… Bought a new 2022 GV70 Sport Prestige last year and absolutely loved it… at first. Then the vehicle almost killed me twice… All safety electronics failed and threw my GV70 off the road pretty violently. Luckily it was into a large grassy area, so neither I nor the car was hurt. Immediately I brought the vehicle in for repair and a piece of my mind. Two weeks later, I was told vehicle was repaired… faulty switch in the steering wheel controls. Expecting all to be fine…NOT. Ten minutes after I left the dealership I took the off ramp (approximately 45 MPH) and the same thing happened again. All console lights started flashing and my GV70 threw me off the road again. Fortunately, I did not hit any other cars and was able to stop it before it rammed into the guard rail. Back to the dealership for repair and then another two weeks later got it back. I drove it for about another month, but never felt comfortable or safe in it again. No help from Genesis. Sold and bought me a BMW. Very happy now.
You should have the nannies off such as the 'lane assist' and others. Electric assisted steering is not as fluid as hydraulic units and contribute to steering anxieties in all new units.
Are you sure this is the 4cyl 2.5 model? I thought only the 6cyl models got the roumd exhaust tips and those 20 or 21" wheels? Maybe its an option package for the 2024 models....nice vehicle tho. I almost bought a 2022 model, but went with CPO X3M40 instead. May consider the 2024 GV70, in a few yrs.
I have the same car, 2023, 2.5 Sport Prestige. Great looking, very comfortable, and fun to drive. Has all the same features. No complaint so far - 7 months old.
Hyundai hired the same engineers who designed for Audi, BMW, Bentley & Jaguar to design the GV70 and the rest of the Genesis lineup. We've owned ours for 3 years with no issues of service after 36,000 miles. Now we are waiting on our GV80 coupe to arrive so why buy the badge when it's not necessary.
Average cargo means it's in line with other models in the segment. Rims look is subjective in terms of you can option them out to different styles. I'm 5'11" and I felt okay in the rear. The seats move forward and self-adjust when it is turned on and it senses the driver sitting, giving the back more room. It's often reviewers are showing the back seats when the car is turned off with no driver in front, so it looks much tighter because the seats auto move back to allow the front passengers to get in and out easier and stay in the back position..
its offering a lot for 60k. its got power, its got technology, its got good materials and good build. decent fuel economy, good space, nice interior although I think it could use some ambient lightning, it comes with a panoramic sunroof, a heads up display, 16 way power adjusting seat with massaging, ventilation and heating, some of the best in the segment and audio system also one of the best in the segment. its got blind spot cameras that pop up when you put on your turn signals and warranty is also good the only weakness are no wireless apple carplay really
@@OscarZheng50 Have you seen the inside of a Calligraphy? The only thing it didn't have was the massage seat that I could see. 19 more horsepower but I think it uses high test gas. Either one is nice but 45 grand was pushing it for me. Haha.

I have one. Do not accidentally drop a french fry down the phone charging hole ! It’s very deep and will require tools to retrieve.
I just purchased the 2024 GV70. I freaking love it
I may trade my RAV4 2023 for the GV70. I like the style of the GV70😊

Wow that Hyundai dealer looks so nice! It looks like it was either recently built or redone to look more modern & upscale
It was a Mercedes dealer that was remodeled to become a Hyundai store

Yeah but I think Genesis is almost look like Bentley (THE LOGO)
The logo look like Bentley fr lol but it says genesis
You could say Aston Martins' logo also looks similar to Bentley, or a Bentleys logo looks similar to Aston Martins. It's just the perspective.

Every car I've bought I get a dash cam. Pretty sure after the second time it's primed for lemon law forced rebuy.
Yet every BMW I’ve owned has been a dog..
Every manufacturer has issues with cars, even RR break😉😉

Rear seat room is small for this class, cargo room is about average, rims are not that nice looking. Not a good buy at almost 60K.
