UPDATE 4/12/09 Wow, 12,000 views?? haha thanks guys this is a professional band playing this also check out my school's band playing this • Highlands Intermediate...
My school band is working on this song right now. I wish so bad we sounded like this already lol but it's a really fantastic song. I play French horn and it's just a beautiful piece.
I played this when I was in school (tuba) and loved it. I'm glad I could hear it on here. Haven't heard it in a long time. Good luck those learning to play it now. It's well worth it.
we're playing this in band. we're trying to perfect it for contests (i think) so we're working really hard at it. (: i love this song and think its amazingly pretty. i play first flute so we have a lot of the melody. (: yay
omgsh...i love this song i remeber i palyed this my 7th grade year brings back memories. i remember the 16th notes and everthythin haha. i was first flute.!!!ya ROCK ON FLUTES
Yk our band director gave this to us and he said it would be a challenge but everyone was like "oh that's child's play." Honestly for us it's pretty easy but I see why it may be hard for others
we got given the same song, I'm part of the people that do the percussion and as there is not enough people for 1 person per instrument, we have to switch throughout the song. So in a live performance I forget that I need to play this one note in 3 beats and need to literally run to actually make it and proceed to do more noise running than playing my note. 10/10 recommend playing this song.
I played this on the flute in early 7th grade (I only started playing in 6th). This piece nearly killed me. edit: just went to 11th-12th honor band and played this piece again
im afraid that my high school band is going to get a two on this piece in assessment, it's so sad that we can only play this at a tempo like 144 and not 160
Geez this piece is just about the easiest thing you can get for a concert band. Before you start great it is, it will never get you a 1st in any decent comps.
