There's nothing wrong with comic book movies. What's wrong is that no one wants to be original with creative writing or at least invest in new ideas. Superhero movies are fine, franchise movies are fine, original movies with no sequel are fine. That said, there's been WAY too many Marvel movies. There's seems to be no room for new ideas, whether those ideas turn into a series or a one time thing. A more specific problem with Marvel movies is that everything is interconnected with each other in such a way that it makes the new Marvel movies inaccessible to watch if you haven't seen the last 3 movies or else you'll be watching with little background information needed to fully understand the new movie. As someone who has watched only a few Marvel movies, has not read the comics, and not in the community, I am SO tired of hearing about Marvel, particularly if they come out with a new movie or series.
