@@VeggieGamerit’s my absolute favourite show of all time. I just wish I lived closer so could visit more often. It’s a wonderful place. There are some traumatic scenes at times, as they rescue abused primates from all over the world, but to see them rehabilitated is just fabulous 😊 I’ve had to do it with my dogs too but didn’t have to stand under them all day, thank God! Just needed a Tupperware box and a steady hand 😅
Has anyone told you about a show called "There's Something About Miriam"?
It was a 2004 reality dating show, where a group of guys are all competing for the love of Miriam and a 10K reward.
The "Something" about her, that the guys didn't find out about until the final, is that she was male-female trans and hadn't had the bottom surgery.
This was a real low in the genre of early 2000s reality TV. It was wrong on every level.

Yeah, really annoying people appear on The Apprentice UK, the early weeks of each year are cringe as the jerks dominate the room leading to terrible decisions, while the dumb ones say and do stupid things, then in the final 2-3 weeks after they are all gone the proper business people are left to show us what they can do, and then the reality show clichés kick in with their emotional back stories and family support. The accompanying show You're Fired is the best part, poking fun at everything that happens. In the early days it was rather formal as it was hosted by a presenter known for business shows, but since Series 5 it's been hosted by comedians, so everyone takes the piss and it's more fun.
Nothing wins. Very bleak.
That last part took several takes, because that wig wouldn't stay on her head. Who'd be an extra?

The first 10 series went under the name of Monkey Business until the death of the sanctuary’s founder. The narrator is Ralf Little so you may have recognised his voice. Hollie still makes appearances on the show but is now a vet. Hanging about all day underneath Piquita waiting for that peeeeee is a legendary moment for fans. My God that woman has patience 😅

The apprentice used to be better but lately it's become just annoying people that you don't want to win and most of them are unbelievably thick so they get some good content from them. The earlier seasons are very good but the past few years have been interminable

In lieu of Paris Hilton's British Best Friend (thank fucking Christ you're not torturing yourself with that. That's great self-care, Noah) I'd highly recommend one of the other things mentioned - Heston's Historical Feasts. The medieval one was particularly good.
Thing with this show for me is that the actual riffs on the footage are pretty funny, but then he drags it too much by just... repeating the joke he just made but with props.
