Back at a time when shows didn’t take themselves too seriously, just a good funny tv show with no other goal than to entertain the audience👏
I find it hard to believe you haven’t reacted to this before!! This was quality Saturday evening viewing, and I still miss it years later!!
Different humour out there.
For reference the person who made off with the bin full of food was TV Burp’s version of a character from Eastenders called “Heather” who was a running joke character in TV Burp at this time
When the first series of Freaky Eaters was on TV, it became a running joke on TV Burp. The producer of Freaky Eaters later told Harry the only reason they got a 2nd (and 3rd) series was due to the additional publicity TV Burp was giving them!
This was the pinnacle of British TV
I wouldn't go that far.
IT WAS THOUGH@@Bill_Stranix
Harry also reviewed The Colour Of Money, the only time anyone saw any of it!!
I remember the gag well but i won't spoil it for Noah.
I saw the colour of money maybe once but i don't remember anything about it
TV Burp realised 3 best of shows ‘TV Burp Gold 1,2,3’ I suggest they would be the best reactions as they will have all the top funny moments. They are all on RUclips in full.
Funnily enough the next episode of TV Burp had Harry ripping The Colour of Money to shreds.
*start the machine*
@@martinmaguire-music6692It's not as good as... Remove the shroud!!
And neither is it... "Activate the Cube."
And it's not... "Enter the Cube."
And it's certainly not... "Bring on the Wall!"
Cyan man should have picked salmon!
After all, his dad was a fisherman, and he thinks Chris is a fisherman...
I used to love watching TV Burp as a kid. You should definitely watch some more of it.
Thanks for reacting to this Noah! I went to a few tapings between 2009 and 2012. They were filmed at Studio 3 at Television Centre in White City. They would usually tape on a Thursday evening and the show would go out on a Saturday tea time evening. Tapings would go on for about two hours, the clips were played on screens scattered around the studio for us to watch. Harry had a unique way of getting our laughter by doing a bit of his stand up before filming each segment which would often get cut off by the floor manager's count in. One taping in 2009, a camera person randomly gave me their script as i was leaving my seat, i was right at the front. This script was from Series 9 episode 5, tape date Thursday 5th November and i still have it to this day.
It got to the point when you was watching something something and thought , that will be on tv burp on Saturday lol
Need more of harry hill from you.
This was when tv was gold.
TV Burp followed by prime shite X Factor, and Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway was peak childhood Saturday evening viewing
Before choosing to move into comedy Harry Hill was a doctor
There's some Christmas specials of TV burp might good for the Christmas month
I always loved this show. It's so silly but you can enjoy it as a kid or an adult. Something similar is Vic and Bob's House of Fools. Probably the silliest TV ever made but one of my favourites.
Used to watch this every week with my family when it broadcast
Classic I remember watching this years ago.
Awesome, thanks Noah! I was literally thinking a couple of days ago "I hope someone reacts to TV Burp"
Not sure what reactors would understand it as much. Noah does watch more British shows (not just comedies) but game shows, TOTP, adverts, soaps, dramas.
(Obviously if another reactor reacts as much to a wide variety then I will stand corrected 😊)
Those historical farm series are absolutely fascinating. They get a team of historians to work a farm as it would have been in a certain period (they've done, Tudor, 17th century, Victorian, Edwardian and wartime, but i think the Tudor series (Tudor Monastery Farm) was the best and most fascinating one) and they actually live like that for six months to a year, with no modern conveniences, even when the cameras are switched off. It was amazing.
I love all those, plus the “House” series and “Turn Back Time” - especially “The High Street” where it was ordinary families having to learn things from scratch.
I went to the Victorian farm a few times when i was a kid, it was filmed at Acton Scott working farm in Shropshire and they filmed Victorian pharmacy at Blist Hill in Shropshire.
Harry Hill is a funny man. He also did you been framed. You know when people sent their videos in of their friends or family doing stupid things. 😂
It was a prerequisite for living in the UK that you watch and love this show.
Every so often I go on a binge of the show for a laugh.
Currently on S6 again.
TV Burp is legendary. I went to a live recording at TV Centre back in the day
i do hope you watch more Harry Hill's, there are so many funny jokes in this show, i use to watch it when it was ON TV
I’d completely forgot about Lion Man, what a show and theme tune that was, gonna have to find an episode to watch now!
Loved watching this back in the day
I really miss this show was fantastic
Loved every episode I watched of this as a kid
This was like seriously good memes before memes properly existed
Really enjoyed this show!
TV Burp was filmed in the week of broadcast in order to keep it fresh. They actually did cover The Colour of Money at some point - because it was so bad. Hard to recommend a starting point for Burp because there are so many episodes and so many running gags - eg, the woman who stole the food was a recurring character "Heather from Eastenders" which was a piss take of the actual Heather from Eastenders.
I remember enjoying The Colour of Money- had no idea it was cancelled before the end of the series.
The TV Burp Episode that ripped it to shreds was brilliant.
Mate this is a proper top tier show.
the fights were always my favourite part of the show and that episode with the ice cream that resembled Nazi tanks was priceless 😂😅
Louis Spence and the queen vic dancing in the launderette in eastenders was hilarious too
This show was my childhood! It was on every Saturday night followed by shows like Hole in the Wall and gameshows like 'In it to Win it' and 'Who Dares Wins'. I have fond memories of cry laughing at it with my dad, my brother and my nan when I was 6, when TV was good and didn't take anything too seriously😭 we are rewatching it together and the great memories just flood back. definitely watch more, doesn't matter which one you choose they're all amazing!
I'd forgotten how funny this was.
Oh my god I forgot about the colour of money, it was ridiculously good. I never knew it had bad ratings cry😢
So good seeing this show again. I hope you check out more
Used to love TV Burp as a kid, especially the Louie Spence sketches! I rewatched a load of episodes when I was feeling homesick when I studied abroad lol
I miss this show so much! It really made its way into general British culture, would find yourself when watching other tv shows thinking oh, this will be on harry hill at the weekend! It got so notorious that the soaps would deliberately put in scenes in the hope they'd be used
Yes yes yes! This is my favourite TV show, I've enjoyed it since I was very young. Kept forgetting to ask if you'd watch it someday, and here we are!
The fights are one of the novelties that kept people watching the first half wondering who it was going to be.
The way the show ends varies which was another novelty for watching the second half. As with other great comedy shows the surprises were the best part about it.
Ive been waiting for TV Burp for ages, glad you got round to it.
Some of the episodes are literally iconic and fantastic (Phil Mitchell deflating like a balloon, check that one)
Please dont leave it too long til the next one, its like a lighter hearted version of Charlie Brookers Screenwipe
Please do the colour of money next haha, I remember the show was so bad but I remember having the boardgame at home
I loved TV burp so much as a kid, wouldn't mind seeing more of these
Your such a legend for reacting to this I loved watching this when I was 6 lol
not sure if anyone has mentioned tgis but Dale Wintons mother who was an actress was a Beutiful woman Dale's father was an abusive husband and it was Dale who found her in the bath she had taken her own life Dale was an only child
The Colour Of Money was fun, shame nobody watched it at the time other than me and my dad LOL
You, your dad and me by the sounds of it.
Thanks so much for finally doing this! It's my all-time favourite, you definitely need to do more!!
This used to be my favourite show when I was a teenager and I still watch the odd episode from time to time. I enjoyed watching your reaction to it!
I loved this show as a kid! Was just recently binge watching a bunch of episodes on RUclips! Please make this a regular series. You need to see more of Harry’s brilliance 😁
TV Burp was brilliant! Much missed. Great to see you reacting to one of these episodes. Would definitely be good to see you react to more, and you might find other weird UK TV shows from it that you want to check out too!
For ten years, TV Burp was the funniest and cleverest programme on British television.
I just came to say, the firm "be nice" accompanied with a soft "no fighting, we give snug snugs" works on my cats too 😂. Not as big, but they're all cats none the less 😅. They go from squaring each other up and/or hissing at each other (after one has purposefully annoyed the other lol) to rubbing heads and nose bumping before either laying down together to sleep and cuddle or going their separate ways lol.
Glad to see you react to this, have always thought this would be a good show for the channel! My favourite TV Burp episodes were the ones that had X Factor clips in them, Harry used to rip into a lot of the specific moments from that show which was always funny.
And yes I'd love to see The Colour Of Money just to see how terrible it could be 😂
Fantastic show, after years of Vic & Bob/The Goonies style surrealist sketch shows this was a huge mainstream hit for Harry Hill.
Personally I'd recommend just starting from the beginning of TV Burp, the show creates its own running gags and memes as it goes on, so you'll get more enjoyment from the callbacks by watching in order.
Oh, and just FYI Harry Hill recently hosted Have I Got News for You...
I can't have seen this episode since it first came out, but I can remember some of those jokes and clips so clearly that's mad. I even still reference the emmerdale/corrie theme tunes bit fairly regularly!
This was fun I remember watching this show and just good old fashion British comedy. I hope you do more
The Colour Of Money must have been really abysmally bad. Coming on right after TV Burp should have ensured a good audience.
7:35 Just have to hope Paxo had a better relationship with local farmers than Alan Partridge, right?
It is now 40 years since Bolero
I remember watching this occasionally and it was always pretty funny. Probably a bit outdated in terms of references that would be popular 20 years ago but nobody remembers them now.
TV Burp is the best. And an episode without a "...of the week" segment?! Let's rectify that right now! ruclips.net/p/PL95BE3EC8371A2449
If you want to watch more, my advice is to watch the ones in the middle of production. The early ones are quite tame with Harry acting pretty normal but the latest ones you can tell he's done with the show to everything has been turned up to 11, including himself. Harry Hill's act has always been a bit crazy but the joy of Burp was when he'd crack the persona and give knowing looks to the audience and stuff like that. That's what the turning his head bits are. He was doing a I dunno wtf look when they got a fussy eater to sing in public (for some reason) you see. ;D
I remember colour of money. I think I watched 1. Don’t remember how it worked
My favourite show ever, every few months i do a rewatch from series 4 onwards, propper classic this show. It might not be great for an american because not knowing the shows it makes fun of
Colour of Money - Very much like Deal or No Deal.
Harry Hill's great and it was a fun show. Some poor bastard (possibly Mr Hill) had to watch a lot of awful TV every week to make this (watching all the soaps cannot be good for you).
And throwing away that tinned food was nuts. Baked beans aren't unhealthy. I wonder what their reasoning for that was... but not enough to watch it.
Wait you haven't. God! Well you have now I loved this as a teen very many giggles where had x thanks noah.
I used to love this show, glad you around to checking it out. Like most of the country i didn't watch The Colour of Money, so i look forward to watching your reaction, as i watch how bad it might be lol.
Not sure when this episode is from but I was a bit worried that the jokes might go over your head as you're not British. But having not seen it in years I forgot that you don't really need to know the shows to get the jokes.
There's a few running gags that you might not have picked up on.
But you laughed a lot and got me thinking about some of the Burp DVDs I have. I'll have to give them a rewatch. ;)
Fun fact Dave Gorman was also a writer on TV Burp
time to get a bit surreal & laugh your arse off
Used to be a badge of honour for celebs to get a cameo on this show.
Great Video Taffe316
If you're interested in Colour of Money, you could follow this reaction up with Series 9 Episode 5: ruclips.net/video/JO-4vag2bz0/видео.html - in which Harry dedicates a segment to that show, and follows up a gag from this episode you reacted to.
But I cannot pass up the chance to recommend Series 6, Episode 2: ruclips.net/video/KS-jKyh0e0U/видео.html - because that was roughly just after I started watching TV Burp, and there's a joke that reminded 13 year old me of a certain character's existence in the most explosive and best manner possible.
I liked this show
Never heard of colour of money; which is weird considering it aired after this
More episodes of TV burp would be fun to revisit
The Harry Hill movie is something I wanted to see but I wish I hadn't
So feel free to decide for yourself if that'll be worth it
the crunchy toast 🤣
Great show, it got too obsessed with it's own characters for the last few years and more wacky instead of the witty observational humour of the earlier ones.
And then it ended and they tried to replace with... Alien Fun Capsule... *heugh*
I forgot how funny this was 😂😂😂
Would be great if you reacted to more eps but I’m sure there’s loads to get through
Such a great show when it was on back in the day watched it all the time if you enjoyed this I highly recommend the TV burp Gold specials there hilarious also, hopefully you watch more of this show hopefully the Wagbo episodes 🤣
I'm English and I've never even heard of the colour of money haha
Do it!
tv burp was a great show
RIP Dale
These are always fun. I never watched any of the soaps and they always play a part in TV Burp, but it is just a quickfire chunk of stupid fun where knowing who is who or what the show is, is not really relevant
color of money thought was a tom cruise movie
Can you upload more tv burp reactions please?
Little reference to Jimmy Saville in there.
You went on the side of Italy whilst watching a British show hmmm I wonder who will win... ?
15:12 Oh god the cringe.
Please, bossman, bring us the shitty gameshow! 😅
In Bed With Medinner walked so that TV Burp could run.
Jimll fix it didnt age well
Tv burp was funny when it started but after a while it got so annoying, it’s the same gags all the time and Harry hill just became annoying, especially after the bad movie. That being said you should watch his earlier channel four show, very good
He's excellent on 'I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue'
I hated all of the shows that Harry Hill made sport out of, which made this show all the better.
I've got to admit I find him completely un-funny. If he just introduced the clips and let them play out it wouldn't be so bad but his insistence on over-acting an instant replay just makes me want to turn it off. Who would actually want to travel to be in the audience for something like this? I can't get my head around it, I'd pay to never have to participate.
