I like how Ricky really takes away the pretension in charity acts. He doesn't try to be a great philanthropist. He's just doing what he thinks is fun, and if it helps, all the better. And I think that really connects with the audience.

You are correct, of course what makes it funny is that "the office' didn't have a laugh track or a string section telling you when to laugh.
