Idk if it's completely accurate, I'm sure whatever the issue is is more simple, but maybe Leo gives up space to his opponent too often? In my mind that would probably be the main issue with being too neutral based, over respecting rather than taking the initiative. I do feel like he doesn't push his punish game as consistently as Tweek, Light or Sparg0. But eh.
I think another issue is his character pick I love his byleth and I know his byleth has beaten gackt in the past but the issue is that he has essentially dropped byleth competitively I know in a video on the luminosity channel ee asks Leo his character line up and Leo said joker rob and aegis and said byleth just isn’t good enough anymore and he has been using mainly joker and rob these past few tournaments so the byleth must be out of practice too. I feel like he went byleth cause it was a more comfortable pick cause he has won in the past with him but I feel like he should’ve went joker or rob since they are more in practice.

Leo did not play his best this set too bad he lost to gackt his ness is on a different level and leo picking against byleth was a good move and joker both of those characters do well against ness but I would prefer playing byleth against ness players. Would love to see Leo just solo main Joker, and instead looking to counter pick, practice changing up his tendencies as a player, and also studying how other players play to better play against them. Also picking stages that fit your character well or work against your opponent, instead of just ps2 all the time.
Agreed. If marss could do it with zero suit then I'm sorry but there are a LOT of people who need to pattern up. Stop counterpicking bad mus and actually just grind them out. It gives so much more confidence.
I agree with both of you. Tweek beating Pacman, Skyjay taking games off Sonix at LMBM in a near-impossible matchup, and Light beating Maister are all examples that come to mind when I think of players sticking to their guns instead of counterpicking. If Leo put in as much time as Sonix does with grinding out bad MUs I bet he would come back on top

I cant believe leo lost against yoyo at ledge!! I CANT BELIEVE HE DOESNT KNOW that getup attack beats yoyo at ledge..... He litteraly lost the set by rolling into yoyo at ledge
@davesnow7133 he was already dating her during the ludwig invitational and he still destroyed everyone. I think his weakness is he doesn't believe in his characters enough, I'm assuming he pulled out Byleth bc that's who he normally beats Gackt with but his Byleth was pretty unpolished. He should've started with one of the two characters he's been grinding out the most but he still strongly believes in the counterpick meta. I hope seeing Tweek's win over Tea's pacman with diddy gives Leo more faith in sticking to his mains for matches
You have to be by far the most dedicated Mkleo hater I've seen. Every time he loses you celebrate and take jabs at him using DLC characters (even though 2 of them are definitely not as overtuned as all the FP2 characters). Seriously what did Leo do to you bro? Were you the campy online Banjo he popped off against?

"I could just pick Joker and dominate again" - Most delusional thing Danny DeVito/Leo ever said. The fact his Joker couldn't pull up a set vs Ness and Ken OFFLINE speaks volumes, this character will never win a SuperMajor for him in this current day and age, there are very few players who could pull up a major Joker W and he is not one of them, this is not 2019 where he could get away playing suboptimal Joker. Crazy that even Byleth is not that bad Vs. Ness either and he folded, even after changing coaches and on his own words taking the game seriously again, he seems not cut to the top level, unless he seriously focus on an Swordie character ( his specialty ) he will only win SuperMajors in the next Smash game.
