2:22 for the fist time in years i see a pov drive with a driver who acctually knows how to change gears without trying to brake de gear box. For those who don't understand my comment...serch for a dissasemby video of a manual gearbox and look for the sycronizers part. good video Johan keep driving
I disagree. The MK7 didn’t have the massive cost cutting that this one has. It had physical buttons instead of all these stupid touch screens, so it was much more straightforward to use.
Alex Pascutiu Having owned both, and still have a mk6 and 7 in the house, personally the mk6 is the better package. The mk7 has some great tech, ACC is amazing, but very much feels a mass produced car, built down to a price. Interior trim is not as well wearing (55k and 5 years old, seats are wearing thin). Everything in the mk6 feels heavier, more sturdy, and better built. Even just the shutting of the doors, the mk6 just feels better, feels more put together to me

It looks and feels cheap and plastic. They even didn't made the effort to put some chrome elements around the windows control panel. Its noisy so the saved on sound proofing too. This is probably the beginning of the end for VW group. The Golf was their most important label and they screw it. Way is open for the Chinese to flood the market with their cheap crap. Very sad development in the West.
I don’t agree. The car is just as quiet as other Golfs and has plenty of sound proofing. A lot of people have been knocking this car for some of the things that have been removed but have totally ignored all the extras that have been put on. For example people have criticised the remove of the plastic cap over the door lock and accused VW of cost cutting but ignore that they have redesigned the door handles and incorporated led lighting into the handle. For everything VW have taken off this version of the Golf they have added something new. Also while the black plastic dash surround isn’t perhaps the best material they used plenty in the Golf 7.5 and it seem to be a fashion a lot of other company’s are using such as the Mercedes A Class for example which has loads of shiny black plastic. One other point is the digital dash which is a bit of a love or hate thing but again most car company’s are using digital dash to some extent and I would guess the big advantage is that functions and features can be changed and modified via softwear downloads.
With every new technology, there are always some who hate changes and wish everything could be as it was. A horse and buggy was preferred by those who hated cars 🤷🏻♂️
Veel geluid. Veel verbruik meer dan opgegeven. Gebruik van goedkope materialen. Ik bezit er een maar koop hm niet. Leg 5000€ meer en haal een mercedes a class

Thx 🙏
The multimedia screen with the left side fused with the speedometer is perfectly integrated, not in the case of the Leon.
This car is the best there is!
I think the golf 8 is the best golf of all the time

Ax Cn Ce vorbesti?? :))) Asta-i problema principala cu Golf-ul nou. Au taiat costurile masiv cu MK8.
Forza223 Bowe I agree. I personally like the looks of the MK7 a lot more than the MK6 but the MK6 did feel more solid. They’re both fantastic cars.

This is a mk8 pal
The new full digital interior is too much. I prefer analogue dials and proper buttons.
Please a POV of the 1.0 TSi
It does not exist here. Price difference is too small, like 1500 euro..

Beautiful car, only headlights very ugly, interior and steering wheel superb... Only manual petrol 150hp great....
How is the ride comfort and soundproofing?
I read both are good (with DCC).
I own one its normal not the best
@@kimchi-trades1639 Has it been reliable any warning lights keep popping up software issues?

Feels cheaper and nasty
Yeah true. Noticed that with Every new vw these days. Even the new A3 has hard plastic in door panels
Its because vw is concentrating on electric cars now

The instrument cluster reminds me of Mercedes
Of course. Mercedes has always been setting the new standards..
Super
U don't usually drive manual do u...
It sounds a bit too loud in the cabin, no? For a touchscreen on wheels, VW looks like they've skimped out on EVERYTHING.
Golf 8 has a very quiet cabin :-)
Probably cut back on the sound insulation

Anyone know what colour this is
Seems to be the free "urano-grey"
How much it consumes?
5,5l/100km long term over 5000km
Wow
👏
Chrome strip along the side windows looks unfinished..... would be better if it wasn’t there at all
Soundproofing is terrible, the Mk7 was far quieter
No
