Several friends and I have been discussing this very thing - it feels like we are converting to Judaism, or Israeli/Hebrew. Our church, and whom I thought were good friends, literally wont talk to us since we started going to a Torah Observant fellowship. It is very frustrating to realize that what we were taught in Christianity isn't what Yeshua actually taught. I am reading the Bible again with new eyes, and I'm so thankful to Yehovah for opening my eyes. But it is difficult talking with most Christians now.

This movement has nothing to do with you/us Converting to Judaism. It's about us Reverting back to a Biblical way of life. Now I can understand the professor thinking what he does. He thinks of the Sabbath as a Jewish Sabbath. I believe a little too much emphasis on Judaism from him and not enough emphasis on Scripture.

I understand totally when you accept Judaism it's kinda tuff. I'm called all kinds of names. If they bring up some scriptures and what they mean. That's where the trouble can begin. They dont know that they have been changed in lots of places. I will leave this here.

Great contribution, Nehemia, for doing dialogues of this sort! Your modesty or humility in saying that you do or did not know that much about Reform Judaism, itself, (or however you expressed that general idea), was surprising, refreshing, and actually quite dynamic. (So few people these days are willing to say they are not knowledgable on certain topics). Humility is a powerful tool in achieving edifying dialectics. To know anything about you is to know you are very very knowledgeable in major areas of Judaism (with added expertise, obviously, in Karaite Judaism) and that you've had a long time open hearted dialogue with Messianic Jews, as we currently use the term. I grew up in, and was barmitzvahed in a Reform Jewish home and local synagogue, but have attempted a lifelong study of all Judaism (it's very humbling in constantly expanding my comprehension of how little I know, if you appreciate the truth, and irony, of that statement). Thank you for your very knowledgable guest, Dr. Yaakov Ariel. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

Very important in regarding “cultural” changes or reformation. Sounds like the violation of Moses instructions when entering into a different culture and traditions. Christianity is a great example of evolution of religion

It seems like the ability to culturally integrate has become more of a challenge and curse to the Jewish community than they expected. It’s fairly easy to stay separate from the “world” when the world won’t allow you to participate in their everyday life. But when you have the option to participate in the ungodliness it can become enticing and a way to destruction. Voluntary adherence to the precepts and instruction of YHVH become much more challenging and set you apart much more distinctly. Following Him becomes an individual choice, not a community choice. You can no longer go along with your crowd to get along.

20:04. Every man does what is right in his own eyes… then what follows? If we decide what is righteous rather than following God’s definition, are we not being gods in His place? Seems like dangerous territory to me. I’ll avoid dancing on the edge of that cliff.

Shalom, Dr. Nehemiah! We are Messianic Hebrew Israelites. I believe that we do not delegitimize Judaism. 1st Hebrews, Israelites, when they disobeyed Jews, Moses prophesied there would be another prophet like him. One who would obey YeHoVaH completely and say only his Word. Isaiah prophesied another that would suffer. Yeshua was foretold about before we knew him! John the Baptist prophesied his coming, and John even was foretold of his coming as Elijah.
Now that they have come, people don't want to believe it happened. They believe, but don't at the same time! I believe that when Yeshua comes back, it will be the same way!
So, much hype, but also so, much falsehood of false people claiming to be him. So, much end of days, people have become desensitized for when it does happen. They won't believe it again!
BTW: We don't believe in the Trinity, we believe in one Elohim and his name is YeHoVaH; thanks to your work! We believe in one Savior YeHoVaH had send to save us from ourselves! They are not the same person, but do represent each other. YeHoVaH is also the Holy Spirit, because he is Holy and a Spirit. When Yeshua was Mikvah by John, YeHoVaH gave part of himself to Yeshua to start the reform of setting the current Jews back on their path with YeHoVaH.
However, the Pharisees and other teachers of the oral law tried to debate with him over the instructions of Moses give by YeHoVaH. Since, Yeshua was YeHoVaH born Son. He spoke for his Father. Because he did his Father Work.
These debates not only brought forth the True Torah, but were also making proof that Yeshua was YeHoVaH's spotless pure Lamb that came to be sacrificed once and for all for YeHoVaH's people! They could not find any deceit in Yeshua, and lost all debates. Eventually, the teachers knew they could not win, because they knew Yeshua was and that threatened their position. So, they had to kill him, for them to keep their job.
Nehemia, in your own book talking with Michael Rood. You sort if admit Yeshua was a Karaite! Of course he was!!! He like you only obey the True Torah give by YeHoVaH Himself!
What would it take for a Jew at the time or maybe now, to believe who Yeshua was and is? Yeshua did all that was spoken of his coming: heal the blind, lame, sick, deaf, raise the dead, etc. He himself was raised on the sign of Jonah which he told the leaders that would happen. Afterwards, he was seen by many all at one time. Which is a trait from YeHoVaH.
Yeshua accurately predicted the fall of the temple that happened 70 A.D. He predicted this as the abomination of desolation, plus, in future future a greater abomination of the 1st beast, 2nd beast, HaSatan, and the mark of the beast vs the mark if YeHoVaH.
Those that followed Moses, John the Baptist (lack of better name for him), and Isaiah should understand who Yeshua is! But they don't, because it was not passed down like it was supposed to be.
Jews need to know who Yeshua is, so called Christians need to know the TaNaCH and the Holy Days! You put them together, you get us! Hebrews 2:16 - Abraham's family - not necessarily blood related, but related by the Spirit of YeHoVaH and Yeshua - Romans 8:9-11. We must come together and remember all that YeHoVaH and Yeshua did for us! YeHoVaH fought the fake gods and Spiritual things, and Yeshua fought curses that we put on ourselves because of disobedience! We must know them both for the inheritance that Yeshua is building for his bride to come to her. She must be ready, knowing the instructions of the Kingdom of YeHoVaH! She must know the Holy Days, and must be washed clean!
Without the knowledge and wisdom that was should be asking for, and the faith that comes produces works. There is no inheritance. Faith, trust, reliance, relation, and love in YeHoVaH and Yeshua HaMashiach comes truth, the way, and life with the One Holy Family of YeHoVaH!
Only those willingly obeying YeHoVaH and Yeshua by doing as they have laid out will receive imperishable bodies and invitations to the Kingdom!
Dr. Nehemia do you still not understand? I love you, and I know you are really smart! But, I do think you already know the answer you are searching for!!! You just are lying to yourself! You know who Yeshua is! It is time you tell yourself! You are only fooling yourself! We know you know, what is stopping you? You have come soooo far!
There is nothing wrong in knowing and believing who Yeshua is! You will still be a Karaite, because he is one too! You still will follow the Holy Days of YeHoVaH, because he did too! There is no Trinity, so you don't have to worry about that! You don't worship on Sunday, neither did he!
The Holy Kiddush he did as a wedding ceremony - which many don't realize! The gift for the wedding was the Holy Spirit give to those who are with him. While he goes to prepare a place for his people. Only the Father knows when to send him back, once the Kingdom is ready. Trumpets will make ready the bride to know that her groom is on the way.
Only his people will know this! I pray this helps what you have been searching for!!!
    Shalom Dr. Nehemia Gordon! 👍🙏
