    Hi Rachael! I am gasping at your Very Silver Scindapsus Mommy Plant! She is a pure beauty! Oh looking at her makes me love her more! I am so so thankful to have mine you sent me! She is perfect and so special…..thank you thank you again! I love your bathroom tour……I would love to have a bathroom with a window someday…..it is the only room in the house with no plants….but always has plants in the sink or bathtub getting a shower!! Such a beautiful display! Those spiders are so happy! Well we made it to Feb! Days will start going fast into Spring…..thanks for the video as always and love you and see you soon! ❤tina

      Hi My Tina!!!! Isn't she a beauty!!! the dark spots on her leaves are so pretty. I looked at her and I knew you would love it!
      Thank you so much. I always felt that there was not enough light in this bathroom for plants, but I added a shelf and looked for plants that do not have to have a lot of light to thrive. The constant flow of plants in the sink and shower count as a part of your bathroom jungle. What is a plant without its source of water? I love to take pictures of my plants when they are being watered. They are always so happy!! there is no window in my laundry room, but I have a huge philodendron living in there without grow lights. the leaves have even increased in size!!! I really believe the humidity makes up for what they lack in sunlight. That Philodendron xanadu is huge now!!!!
      Love you my sister!!! happy Monday!!!

    Hi beautiful, that is great some of your plants are thriving in the bathroom. The leaves on the lemon lime maranta are absolutely stunning!!!! I think I accidentally overwatered my plant bc I noticed it was browning on some of the leaves but it had grown tremendously. It is the only plant I have been able to keep alive & it’s been like 15 years. I think it’s called a lucky plant. 😂 the cactus is pretty. The silver s is really nice. FW & have a great day.

      Thanks so much, Jackie! Oh, your plant sounds amazing! Fifteen years is a long time to have one plant. I am sure it will recover from an overwatering. The older and more established they are, the easier it is for them to roll with the punches.
      thank you for sharing your plant baby with me. Happy Tuesday.

      Hi Carol!!! I agree! the humidity makes up for everything. This space is so warm and humid. In the past we had to use a mildew spray to keep everything balanced. Now that it is filled with plants, that problem is gone. The plants take in everything extra that is not good for the room. Win/win. thank you for watching!!!!

      Argh! that stingray has always been a source of worry for me, but I love it so much. I realized that I have to treat it like my tiny dancer. there is a pocket at the base of the barb. I have to clean that area to make sure there is nothing having a family in there. I have not seen anything lately, but I am always suspicious of her.
      thanks for watching!

    Hi Rachael. Have you counted all the plants that you actually have in your home. I would be interested in knowing. My favorite part of the video is the truck in the bathroom. This is a perfect place for it.

    • @lotsofpots.Rachael
      @lotsofpots.Rachael  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Jackie!!! I do not count my plants. I stop my family from counting them as well. I think It would make me feel overwhelmed. Maybe someday I will take a census, but not now.
      I love that truck so much. That plant has been taking my neglect like a champ. I am not sure how to take care of succulents in the winter months, so I only water it when it starts to look funny. It is easy to kill them in the wintertime.
      Thanks for watching!

    That particular bathroom really is not low light. It is North however that is a large window and you have other lights in there. I'm looking at it and it is good light in there, unless that is your camera lights. That is a room that plants would love plus the humidity. I can't keep a maranta to this day! I have kept them up to a year and then they slowly checkout on me! Nice bathroom collection!

    • @lotsofpots.Rachael
      @lotsofpots.Rachael  7 месяцев назад

      Happy Monday Robert!!! Thank you so much! I always feel that this room gets so little light, but you are right. The window is perfectly situated to hit almost all points of the bathroom. It is bright, but not nearly as bright as the rest of my home. There are no trees outside of this window. that may be the big factor for this north facing window.

    Good evening Rachael I was thinking about you today when I was in Walmart 😂.
    I love your silver Scindapsus plant it’s so beautiful. I would love to know step by step what you do when you bring new plants in your house before you put them in the plastic bags. I would do it for the plants I got today. I got a silver streak pothos and a lemon lime pothos. I said I was not going to get any more plants but I can’t help myself I got them for 5 dollars each 😮 they looked so nice for that price, so naturally I couldn’t leave them 😂. Can you please help me with this. I thought you said you leave them in the bag for about a month. Also they were in a self watering container should I put water in it while it’s in the bag? They were dry so I washed them and watered them and treated them and put them in the bag. Is this how you do it.? Should I put water in the container or not?

    • @lotsofpots.Rachael
      @lotsofpots.Rachael  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Roslyn!!! Happy Tuesday!!!!
      I agree about the $5 plants. You had to take advantage of those prices.
      When your plants are in the bag you do not need to put water into the bag if the bag is closed. The moisture from the soil will be trapped in the bag. Normally, I do not add anything more than the water in the soil. For pothos you will have to open the bag every day to allow the plant to breathe and not get wilted. The self-watering containers do not need to have a surplus of water in the reservoir. For the most part you will notice any bugs fairly quickly because the conditions will be perfect for eggs to hatch and for babies to show themselves. Normally, I tap the bottom of the pot before I open the bag. If there is anything living in the pot, they will start to show activity. I hope this helps. the bag has worked wonders for me.

      Good afternoon Rachael I haven’t opened the bag since I got the plants but I will do it when I get home today from work thanks for the information, I have looked at the plants though the bags they looked pretty good. This is something new for me but I think I will do it again I have an old plant that doesn’t look good I think I will put it in a bag to see if it helps any. I really appreciate your advice and thank again. I hope you have a wonderful day. See you in the next video.

      I do not have a bonsai, but I think they are so cute. I love the way you get to really dress them up in their pots.
      I understand your apprehension on repotting. it can be scary. timing does play a big part in it. repotting in the growing season makes it much easier. the plant will bounce back from any mistakes we make.
