Thumbs up to you. I hadnt shot a gun for about 10 yrs. I was browising around and I found this video. I watched it and got so excited that i decided to start shooting again. I went to a local shooting range/gun shop. They offered me to try 5 guns: a CZ Shadow, a Glock 17, a Beretta 92, a Glock 19, and this one, which I fell in love after 5 rounds. I purchased a box of 9mm and shot all 50 rounds. Right handed, left handed, kneeling, sideways...At 15yds i got a 4inch group...after 10yrs of not touching a gun. I went to the shop and ordered a P320 XFive Legion right there. Never have I felt a gun so right for me. The trigger, the sights, the weight, the recoil, the grip. So thank you for the inspiration!
It's like riding a bicycle! Welcome back! I think we all take time away from shooting at various parts of our lives. I'm honored to have played a small part in your journey back! I hope you enjoy the X-Five for many years to come.
Thank you, thank you sir for having the target and the shooter in the same frame. I wish it was mandatory for all gun channels to do that for any review! I saw Firearm Patriotic zero a optic for a 2.0 S&W which he was building for USPSA Optics category free handed! I asked my instructor how could he do that with all the human problems a normal human has? I could do that once in awhile and two days later my shots are all over the 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper. Scott just holds the target on his chest and shows me all holds would have been a hit on a threat. I'm sorry, when I write a comment to a big time gunner channel, I have a problem of rambling on. He said he lost zero after 200 rnds. How could you tell? he said the shots weren't going were they were suppose to go. I have that problem all the time! If I didn't have that problem I could run stages clean every time and I could work on my time!! Thank you for your time and trouble to make your videos.
Another terrific review! I have the Legion Short, aka X-Carry, and I got it set up with an optic recently. Sadly, my lack of patience got the better of me so I didn’t wait for Sig to come out with (what began to look like a vaporware) Romeo One Pro. I’ve got an adaptor plate and Vortex Viper on top. I now see what the hoopla about electronic optics is about but I see it more as a range toy/competition device. Not sure I’ll ever reach the point that I feel it’s a necessity in a carry piece. We’ll see. I remember all the good natured joking a few years ago about the pink paint for the target. After trying several colors of “on hand” paint I finally gave in last week and got some pink for the portable swingers I take to the range. I yield, pink is the correct color to use. There’s no blending with the background with that stuff. Also, while not exactly the same as the Legion, God bless Sig for making their “X” triggers available separately. After trying my X-Carry I bought them for my three P320’s and love them. I now realize that I always get along better with that 90° break than a trigger that breaks at/near the rear of the trigger guard. Carry on with your great work! Now it’s up to Aaron at Sage Dynamics to see if he can break that steel shroud.
Looks like tool to screw on battery cover also would hold spare batteries. I think I need that setup to help ward off the winter doldrums. Thanks for the great video.

Nice review, got sick of waiting for the Romeo 1 pro or T to come out so I went with the Leupold with the additional rear sight (will not co- witness) with the stock front sight (shoots 4” low). Now wish I would have waited.
Panurgic 01 Ugh! Same for me. Waited a long time for the Pro to put on my X-Carry and finally got an adaptor plate and Vortex Viper so I could try the optic thing. I think I waited for it long enough (7-8 months), Sig had their chance and I don’t really feel too badly about the purchase.
The shots at 30 yds look like they are keyholing...they look like vertically oriented slots rather than the nice small circles fired closer up. What do you think?
To me the "Two Dots" look like the holes where lock down screws would go. Holosun probably uses this same sight body on a line of "Cheap" red dots they make under a different brand name. They appear to be filled with epoxy.
I called Sig about the sights not lining up with the Romeo 1T. The built in rear is made for a suppressor height front sight which will bring the barrel way down. I did like you and used it as a starting point.

I just bought a 320XF X series with the Romeo I. This is my first automatic pistol and I'm fairly new to guns. Question in regards to ammo. I'm looking at Sig's JHP ammo. What is the difference in 115GR and 124GR. I will be using this for personal defense. Thanks. Great video!
Probably a good idea to handle and shoot both, THEN decide. Do not pick YOUR gun, off of someone else’s opinion. You always have fanboys, like the Glocktards, that swear nothing else is even worthy of shooting...but when you do shoot something else, you realize that Glock are nowhere near the quality as HK, Sig, FNH, CZ,...I could go on and on. Shoot what ever you can, the gun will pick you....what feels good to one person, and what they shoot well...may feel terrible to you, and you may not shoot it well at all....go rent both, put 200 or so rounds through each, and make that decision for yourself...you will be way happier than if you spend a grand, and end up wanting for something else.
Can you verify that you have the 1T and not the 1Pro? Their sales dept was direct with me that the 1Pro is for the "new" footprint that fits the DPP too, and the 1T is for the old shorter R1 footprint . **scratches head**
You realize the key tool opens and has a spare battery in it. You are to put it on key chain with a extra battery in it. Has two tools screwdriver for battery door and when you open it the silver cover has a tool to set zero
Leupold and Trijicon crap all over ‘Sig’s’ Optics....quality is not even close. I have all three and Sig optics are crap compared. It is like Ferrari and Porsche perfecting their stuff for so long, then ARE truck caps outsourcing another company to build them cars to put their names on....then claiming to have the same performance as the other two...laughable.
Sig does weird things on their website. I couldn't find the Romeo 1T on their website. However I just purchased Sig's newest sight the Romeo 1 Pro. It looks "exactly" like the one you have, same shroud, parts etc .... Hmmm did they change the name?
Damn nice gun . I brought the xcompact rxp over the legion it came with the optic and a plate cover the only thing that sucks the legion was the same price but the shop also only had 1 mag with the legion and I knew it came with 3 mags but the merchant tried to tell it came with one because of what’s going on . So I went with the xcompact rxp
Very little. They all get some - just the nature of the proximity, but I can shoot a full match without having to clean it, except maybe for a quick wipe. That can also depend a lot on the ammo.
Shep 24 - The early X5 Legion had a the loaded indicator hole at the end of the barrel. I guess some Sig engineer thought this would save a dime on a 1K pistol that was designed to have an optic right behind the chamber where it would throw hot gas and crap directly on the optic. If you have an early one Sig will take care of you from what I’ve understood.
It was a surplus sale, based on an email blast. I suspect they may have sold out. However, I think this is virtually the same as the Romeo1Pro - it was just cheaper!
You snug tightened the fasteners down which have thread lock on them. You just do that…. You were done. You don’t use thread lock, or anti seize if you are torquing, if you do it changes the spec. Also, you don’t snug tight before torquing, AND you DEFINITELY DON’T snug tight a fastener with thread lock and then torque it later. Now you will have a fastener with broken thread lock, torqued to the wrong spec… if you didn’t manage to over-torque it to begin with, which is likely considering the screws look like 8 or 10/32. This wouldn’t have bothered me if you didn’t mention torquing multiple times…. despite not knowing anything about it.
Ken McWilliams the cheapest you can find. I can tell your a new shooter by your question. The longer you shoot the more expensive it gets and cheap ammo is the way to go. I can't find it on Instagram. Maybe try again?
@@JustinOpinionChannel I messaged you on Facebook.
derp.... I'm such a dumbass boomer.
Ok video. The gun is capable of better groups than you are. It's ok. Happens to us all
"What could you do to _possibly_ improve on this gun???" Well for starters, throw it in the bin and buy a CZ.... that'd be a good start. Regarding the optic: I'd rather rather buy it with the Holosun brand on it... that's a brand name with some market cache and quality (and my own experience using their optics for decades now).
If you have a cz like me. Buy this for fun.
Nobody cares about your opinion. You got on a little hissy fit because it wasn’t the gun that you have or the optic that you use. How about people do whatever they want with their own money and you not get upset because it wasn’t what you wanted.
