Agreed. There was an interest in maintaining family traditions and identities, but the Romans may have taken it too far reproducing the same exact names without much differentiation generation after generation.

I totally understand your fear i was merely making a suggestion based on my knowledge of algorithms. Perhaps something to do with History maybe do a poll to your existing base asking for advice for a name relating to "History" in some way could get some interesting results.
I liked it, but again, the AE sound is not the same as the EA sound in English or Latin, the vowels are in a different order for pronunciation reasons, and it's not the same rule for the EA sound. US Lecturers also follow this rule, for example with Cannae, I've double checked, so they're not both valid and it's not a dead language, because it's also English pronunciation rules.
Really interesting details, but pronunciation (e.g., qaestor) is irritatingly at odds with my understanding. Jeez, I've got enough in my brain already; I don't need multiple alternative pronunciations too.
