I lived in DUBAI for 6 years. not once did I lock my apartment door or car door. in fact my whole building never locked their doors. I would let my kid sister walk the streets at 2am in morn without even thinking twice about her safety. it is so safe and decent. u can leave your wallet on the beach for the whole day and no one will pick it up. and it has nothing to do with the punishment. it's the culture and if u steal it is so looked down upon. it is like the lowest thing a perosn can do. I love dubai. my second home.
its because if you see someone else's valuable left lying around you shouldnt take it because they may come looking for it, if you do pick it up then you have to find the person it belongs to and if you keep it for yourself its the same as stealing. there is a bit more to it than this i just forgot some of the details

I've been living in NYC for about 10 years, this video portrays it exactly right, 9 out of 10 people here don't give a damn about anyone else. I've witnessed and experienced it for myself. It's really sad! It was really touching to see how caring the people in Dubai are. I wish more people showed that level of compassion towards others. In our town, I don't think the problem has anything to do with race per se, it's just when new people come here and see how callous people are here after a while, they get so fed up with it, they end up becoming just like that themselves, it's like a social virus that infects the masses.

My gf recently been in Dubai and laws in there are different to. You can't drink or be cough drunk in public place or it's jail for you. You can't stay in that County as outsider unless you have property worth 1m or more. Banks are giving free loans so if you borrowed 1m you need to pay back 1m. If you are late on your payments - jail. Now the most important law for this video if you got cough stealing they chop of your arm so nobody dares to steal there due to severe punishment. Tows are full of cameras so crimes won't stay unnoticed. They only recently got taxes and taxes are low. Even gas prices recently went up from 25 to 50 whatever currency they using. Taxes and gas prices going up were a big deal there even if they still are dirt cheep. Also government decides how much alcohol you can purchase every moth based on your income. So it is dream land for honest hard working people. Don't know much about NY so maybe someone could fill me up on info about it but Dubai is one of the best places to live in the world

You also have to realize that there are strict laws about giving to the homeless, people aren't allowed to give money for example, because of the possibility that the homeless person would use it on alcohol or drugs. Well, I live in Dubai and I can reassure that this is actually how people in Dubai act like. Its not the fact that we are rich it is the fact that people in Dubai are thought to be kept away from violence and are to be kind mostly bevause the law is perfectly balanced.
But is it the same on Dubai streets? Ofc people are more civil in a shopping mall and have no interest in taking a blind man's money. But on busy streets with beggars I'm sure they won't stop for fear of theft.

This is a big difference between two countries and people's.
My gf recently been in Dubai and laws in there are different to. You can't drink or be cough drunk in public place or it's jail for you. You can't stay in that County as outsider unless you have property worth 1m or more. Banks are giving free loans so if you borrowed 1m you need to pay back 1m. If you are late on your payments - jail. Now the most important law for this video if you got cough stealing they chop of your arm so nobody dares to steal there due to severe punishment. Tows are full of cameras so crimes won't stay unnoticed. They only recently got taxes and taxes are low. Even gas prices recently went up from 25 to 50 whatever currency they using. Taxes and gas prices going up were a big deal there even if they still are dirt cheep. Also government decides how much alcohol you can purchase every moth based on your income. So it is dream land for honest hard working people. Don't know much about NY so maybe someone could fill me up on info about it but Dubai is one of the best places to live in the world

He should've either been on the street in both dubai and ny or been in the mall for both- you can't be at two different locations (mall/street) and expect the same results. The people in New York didn't help/listen because they believe this is their only life and focus on themselves. The people in Dubai on the other hand helped and listened because they know this life is not the life to live for. Most of them are muslims and that shows that those people have respect and are thankfull for what they have/are.

Well, I live in Dubai and I can reassure that this is actually how people in Dubai act like. Its not the fact that we are rich it is the fact that people in Dubai are thought to be kept away from violence and are to be kind mostly bevause the law is perfectly balanced.
