Your 500 year old statement was so darn funny. 😂. Glad to see you and other instructors embracing the use of your natural body mechanics in a golf swing. Should allow you to swing freely, effectively and faster. I’ve embraced it and it has changed my game massively. Looking forward to seeing how you get on this year. Love the improvements. Stay safe and healthy.
I mean... if he was 500 years old I'd expect him to have a pretty solid understanding of the golf swing. 😂
Grip is so important! I've always had a strong grip. I did the Mike Adams grip test and discovered, like you, that I should have a weak right hand grip. I'm clearly an "over golfer." Completely transformed my swing. With a strong right hand grip I would yank the club inside and open the club face. Could not correct this no matter how hard I tried. The strong grip created a domino effect of multiple errors. The quality of my shot was entirely dependent on my ability to make compensations. With a weak right hand grip my club head stays square. It puts my takeaway on automatic. Golf is fun again.
I think Mike Adam’s has a solid idea of how to build a golf swing and probably a good solution that will work for many people.
Good stuff as always. I've never heard of Mike Adams so I'm definitely going to check him out. Love your channel and can't wait to see your future content. I'm on a similar golf path as you, so literally every video you have done str
ikes a cord with me. Nobody else has content like yours.
You should! It can sound a bit technical but it's basically just how your body naturally wants to move translated into a golf swing.
your swing action and ball flight look great from here.
Thanks! My mechanics are decent enough for consistent ball striking…my biggest focus is on staying mentally present and making good decisions.
Glad to see this perspective from you. This answers my previous statement
👍🏿
Good stuff Kennie. I like what you and Big Kurt are talking about here. Keep it up and looking forward to seeing how you do this upcoming season.
Appreciate it and will do!
Happy 2022 mate
TY!
2 years in have you stuck with the front post side on cover type swing? Any changes or Ah ha's along the way? I'm currently moving through moving from the rear post to more front myself.
I haven’t moved. I’ve done various physical training screens and gym exercises that consistently show my left leg is stronger and more stable. Grip has stayed the same as well. Unless something physically changes in my body, that’s just the way I move best.
Good stuff man.
Thanks!
I found your comment about your right elbow interesting. My right shoulder mobility is strangely bad, and I find it difficult to tuck my right elbow in. It always flares out wide. And when I try to tuck it in, I feel that I’m serving it underhand. Do u have the same issue? And is what you’re doing just living within what your body can do?
I don’t have any major mobility issues. My elbow prefers to move away from my body so I let it, then I have other matchups that help me get back to a solid impact position.
I think that’s the general idea Mike Adams is teaching. Work within your body.
Who is your instructor in this video? I've been trying to find an online instructor who utilizes Mike Adams bio swing Dynamics
My instructor is Kurt Brown from Reid West Academy in Phoenix. I’m not sure if there is a list of instructors but I bet if you give Mike Adam’s a ring he’d be able to point you in a direction of people that use his system near you.
So Kenny. How far do you hit an 8 and 7 iron with your swing?
8i 161, 7i 177
@@KennieKatGolf Nice. Have started up playing golf again and hitting a 7 around 170 and the 8 about 155 lately. Feel that I am leaving about 10 to 20 yards in the bag.
If you're hitting off the toe so much are you sure it's not just the lie angle of your clubs?
It’s possible. More likely operator error if it’s happening throughout the bag. 🙏🏿
Who's the instructor in this video?
Kurt Brown. He’s the head of instruction at Encanto/Reid West golf academy.
mike adams knows his shit he's been around a long time.
That's what I hear.
You’re too controlled in your backswing. Free up more. Don’t avoid being lose in your swing
I'll make sure to pass that along to my coach. Thanks for sharing!
