UTS Media Salon: 'Imagination, AI and News' with Mark Deuze and Anna Vissens

This panel is inspired by Prof Mark Deuze’s recent co-authored essay ‘Imagination, Algorithms and News: Developing AI Literacy for Journalism’. It highlights the importance of lifting artificial intelligence literacy in journalism, acknowledges the long history of journalism and technology interdependence, and calls for shifting the perspective from reacting to the inevitability of AI, to creating imaginative approaches with the help of AI that serves the human journalist and public aims of journalism.
