Earthrise for Musical Saw and String Quartet

"Earthrise" a new work by Jake Heggie. Commissioned by the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, Aloysia Friedmann, Artistic Director. The work honors Bill Anders, Apollo 8 astronaut, photographer of the iconic photo, OICMF patron, and saw fan. Premiered August, 2017. Performed by Anita Orne (saw) and the Miro Quartet (Daniel Ching - violin, William Fedkenheuer - violin, John Largess - viola, Joshua Gindele - cello) with fiber art designed and created by Geoffrey Shilling.
