Im a filipino, and i read about the history of martial arts, how martial arts in china started, and it said that there's a monk traveler, who travels in china and the chinese was amazed of the style of fighting of the indian monk, because the monk kills the lion, correct me if im wrong, so i agree that the origin of martial art is in india and it is not from china

I'll say how I became a huge fan of kalari. We had a colegue and a friend who practices kalari and says about it some times. I used to tease him cuz I was ignorant about kalari. One day in a middle of a conversion I said kalari is fake and its all about choreographed movements and that's all. I even challenged him to show any moves. He politely said the moves are only to defend and not to harm or show anybody. I was so ignorant that I even challenge amd tease him more. Then he calmly showed this move suddenly. He just caught my upper arm like shown in this video.... OMG😱😱😱.... I felt like I had no hand at all.. I couldn't even move my had and hige pain also. At that moment I realised what a complete martial art it is and never be dump enough to comment on something you don't know.... After that I became a huge fan of Kalari. 😊❤❤

Did you ever see it from that P.O.V? Most martial arts influence each other because cultural interconnection. If you think kalaripayuttu was first in the world? Think again! Different countries, mostly China, Japan, Southeast Asia, made shore they kept their martial culture alive by sharing the knowledge to other races&culture's. Your the only race of people that kept the knowledge too yourselves. You don't want others stealing your techniques. The Irony!!!!

I fought kalari fighters 6 times in a ring.
    1) You'll be very uncomfortable and it will take time for you to get used to the strange, low stance they take. It limits your offence options and decreases your Defence.
    2) The fuckers hit extremely hard. I mean it. They use their momentum and generate great power in their strikes. You'll be surprised how much they can hurt you from a very short distance.
    +
    3) They hit multiple attacks at once. One knee of the kalari fighter hits your solar plexus and at the same time he also punches your face.
    Observations:
(I don't know if Kalari originated from Mahadev or parasuram or whoever, but I can understand at once that this art came to use in a time where, fighters had no armour or had soft armour, like leather or chainmail or both together. soft armour, because Kalari tries to hit your soft body parts with their hard parts with full force
    also
It also a battlefield art you can tell, as it aims to finish fights as quickly as possible, it's not like many arts that has been made into sports so there is standing and fighting for a said amount of time)

I wanted to learn but could not learn due to the responsibilities of the house, but I want my son to learn Kalari and understand his old cultures, respect them and make his body strong so that he will never get drunk. Is there any institute to teach my son because we are from Madhya Pradesh.

      @KarateTVtraditional  4 года назад +1

      HI Sir,
There are many martial arts in India<
What all you have to search is a good teacher
once you finished that the things will go very easy
and one thing is most important, once you select an art make sure your son would practice the same at least 4 to 5 years.
the system will start working, he will never go for drugs and he will start protecting his body.
WE do not do Kalari, Sensei Arun DEv learned kalari, but not in its deapth, there are plenty of good kalari teachers are there in kerala those who can take care of your child, but you in ancient time gurukul means every thing including academic part. Isha Yoga center in Coimbatore is having wide syllabs for kids with teaching of Kalaripayattu ( VArma Kalai), I suggest that is the best place .

may be because of the same the art is known to be the mother of all martial arts
