The audiobooks, MMM, and Oasthouse podcasts have IMO produced the best Partridge since IAP1. I think Dame Edna is criminally under-rated though, you’re spot on with that one 👍🏻

If we look at the great comedies that the BBC produced over the years likely none of them would be made today because they insult all cultures (including their own) using stereotypical scenarios and/or are too violent and crude. Even if the BBC were to produce something similar to goodness gracious me with an all Indian cast... they could only joke about themselves and their culture to a point but not the other neighbours because it may come across as racist or to induce hate. If the BBC were to produce something similar then it would be the recent Apu (from the Simpsons) debacle times a million. The only comedies recently that are close to "oldschool" (that I can think of) have to mask it by being smart. (like the recent Who is America? and not as much but the recent Alan Partridge series too).
