Does using a live axle take the original gear reduction\transmission completely out of the picture? My fl250 came with a sprocket already welded to the stock rear axle. I'm just curious if I could do the same set up as you and use that welded on sprocket.
That's great engineering , I see so many hack jobs by others when they put in a 4 stroke engine.

It does take the transmission out of the picture, thats why i put on a cvt torque converter to help with a smooth takeoff
