- Shadow the Hedgehog is Shadow’s first (and last) solo game, and it’s hated by a lot of people. There are also who do find it better, and I can see where they’re coming from most of the time. I respect anyone that finds legitimate joy in playing this game (unless your name’s Radicalsoda), but I personally hate this game for reasons cited by multiple people. Charriii5 has actually made two EWW videos on Shadow the Hedgehog. The first one was the first EWW he ever made, and as you’d expect from someone’s first video, it was awful. I speak from experience. The second video was a remake for a milestone of his and is the version I'm covering. While I can say it’s better than the original, it’s still not very good. Don’t get me wrong. He gets quite a few things right, but he also gets so much more wrong. Heck, it’s baffling that he got ANYTHING wrong. Also, he yells a lot for literally no reason; so that’s fun.
Someone really needs to tell Charriii that yelling alone doesn't make you funny. Also, for those of you who know, do you think this game would've been better if Scourge the Hedgehog from the Archie Comics was in Shadow's place in this game?

I got to say, when you removed 5 sins for Chariii5's talk about depression because of Shadow's depression, you have really earned my respect. Depression really is something that can harm people, and if you feel depressed, seek as much help as you can, and if you know someone who is suffering through depression, I implore you to attempt to reach out to the person as many times as possible.

Ok it was nice to remove sins for the depression statement like ill admit i was a victim of it once as well because i felt like no one loved me and thought the world would’ve been better without me and thankfully i escaped depression and now im alive enjoying my own life so with that im here today along with everyone
I'm with ya on the depression message charii had. Sure it's long and sounds out of place for a video like this, but it's inspirational. Sinning that because of those reasons is heartless.

Wow. Just....wow. Was this a blast to watch. As for the depression bit, I was expecting a sin or something like it, because even though I only watched Charriii5's second video on Shadow the Hedgehog once, I thought that part lasted a little too long for my liking. But, after listening to your input on it, I've changed my mind about it. I know that you don't hate Charriii5, you're just pointing out what he gets wrong for his sins on games, and I will never be one of THOSE kind of people who think you have an agenda against him for no reason or whatever, but hearing what you said about Charriii and the delivery of his depression message puts things into perspective a little bit on your personal views on him.
Now, with all that out of the way, I really like your content. For some reason, watching EWWs on EWW videos is really interesting and entertaining, and your stuff (along with your countdowns) is no different. Also, my apologies on this being too long. I tend to make long comments about things whenever I make one. It's not my intention 90% of the time, but it just happens that way for me.
Hey TonySonic, I really like the video. I actually LIKE this video of Charri5, not sure why. Sure he yells a bit much in the vid but I can look past it, sometimes his over the top reactions bring a smile to my face. And, the depression bit in this video, it hit me. I'm really glad you acknowledged it as well.
I can somehow feel the energy that DT didn't wanna do this, heck, I read the description, that you didn't really like this vid of charri, but that just made it more intresting for me

I’m glad you took a bunch of sins off for Charii’s speech I was getting nervous when you were playing the clip as a whole. That speech is honestly my favorite moment from Charri and why Shadow was my favorite video of his in spite of the flaws you’ve pointed out

wow this video got unexpectedly deep. As someone who has battled depression, had family and friends who've battled depression and have had friends and family commit suicide in part due to depression, I agree that it is EXTREMELY important to stop and talk about it. The world is so much better with all of us in it. You are worth so much and are loved and appreciated by more than you realize. Thank you TonySonic for taking the time to allow Chariii5 to talk about it as well as taking time to talk about it yourself.
Man, I can remember a time where I genuinely enjoyed this game. This being my first 3D Sonic game, my enjoyment of Sonic X and a couple of RUclipsrs I was watching back then recommending the game may have had something to do with that. It was when I tried going for the A ranks where my enjoyment took a nosedive (Looking at you, Lost Impact!) and by the time I finished Expert Mode, I decided to put this game on my shelf and... Never Turn Back. Tee-hee. I honestly have no desire to play this game ever again. If I ever want to play as Shadow, there are plenty of other better games to choose from.

43:52 If I had to speculate, its because they wanted to have a Shadow vs Sonic boss battle in this game but couldn't be bothered designing a new boss fight around that so they reused the Sonic & Diablon fight again and had the GUN Commander remain silent during the cutscene.
What Charriii meant by the "5 stages of playing shadow the hedgehog" it was a play on the 5 stages of grief

I’m genuinely curious how Shadow’s story will go in the next movie, especially with Jim Carrey’s potential retirement leaving a huge plot hole in Shadow’s origin story.
We’ll have to wait and see.
Technically Jim Carry is still considering returning for the 3rd film if he wants to. Also hopefully Shadow isn't an edgelord like in Shadow The Hedgehog and especially Sonic Boom.

I'm kind of on the fence about that. It's cool that they're doing it, and I'm sure the movie will be great, but it feels like they're rushing the story a bit. After all, they only just introduced Knuckles and we haven't seen any signs of Amy or Rouge yet. Not to mention, it seems like they'll be skipping over the entire Chaos saga.

@@skibot9974 Strangely enough, the Japanese manual for Knuckles Chaotix gives ages for Espio and Vector (who were 17 and 16 respectively) but not Charmy (although his first appearance was in the Sonic manga, where he seemed to be around Sonic's age). So, Espio was originally older than Vector. Oh, and SEGA mandated that Charmy's personality in the comics should match his portrayal in the post-Heroes games, but the brain damage thing was Ian's idea (which he later admitted was a very poor decision on his part).

21:10 Agreed, it's stupid. I get how blood, violence, and sexual themes get censored in order to appeal to children, but other things like religion are things that make me question my own existence. I don't get why it's censored, unless I think it's done to appeal to anyone regardless of religion or because of how touchy it is, like how a Danish cartoonist received backlash due to his portrayal of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. The stupidest censorship I heard was in Powerpuff Girls. There was a removed episode which contained a hippie. The episode got removed just because the hippie guy looked like Jesus, even though that's not the intention in mind.

You’ve spent many years trying to create the ultimate life-form in order to cure your granddaughter’s terminal illness, but then out of nowhere, the government shoots up the place, captures your project, and kills your granddaughter. It’s easy for anyone to say that you wouldn’t go insane after something like that, but there’s a big difference between saying something and actually experiencing it.
Also, I finished Sonic Prime and really liked it.
By the way why did you delete your everything wrong with EWW Somic Adventure 2?

Y'know, it's funny. People always say that our existence has a purpose, but they never can give an actual example. What does that tell us?
I like to think our purpose is to enjoy life to the fullest. To appreciate the natural beauty of the world we were placed on. And to play some great games and talk about them on a random website.
I'm not gonna deny Charriii5's mental health speech. It does fit the context of Shadow the Hedgehog considering that all the deaths aboard the ARK are not neccessarily because of him, but it's because GUN wanted to control him, and decided to silence everyone else associated with Project Shadow, with the exception of Gerald Robotnik. Shadow believes that all those deaths could have been avoided had he not been created in the first place, which does carry a heavy toll on someone that never even asked to be born or created, yet he still was, and it was because of his creation, GUN only saw him as an asset to control and weaponize. Shadow has to carry those deaths with him, especially Maria's since it was thanks to her sacrifice that Shadow was able to survive. It's survivor's guilt that Shadow feels essentially, which SEGA decided not to dive deep into in order to prioritize Shadow being the edgy rival to Sonic, which i despise. Shadow is not an edgelord, he's a tragic character that carries so much guilt because of the deaths that happened as a result of his creation. This is the story that i wanted explored, and how Shadow will carry that legacy going forward. Will he take revenge on the very government that killed his loved ones, or will he honor Maria's wish and protect the world from any threat? That's what needs to be explored.
And there’s nothing wrong with Charriii5’s content. You’re probably just jealous, but I wouldn’t know that because you’re criticizing a channel that is trying to entertain. I wouldn’t believe you if you’re saying that you do the same. Although there is nothing wrong with having your own opinion it doesn’t mean you make AN HOUR LONG VIDEO criticizing someone that is trying to make stuff for people to enjoy. Stop criticizing Charriii5. Or else if YOU get big enough someone, somewhere someone is going to do the same to you…
He's trying to correct his mistakes
Personally, I think you're a little harsh to Charriii sometimes. I know I'm about to sound like a dumb@ss but most of Charriii's videos are generally just jokes. Personally, I think a lot of the jokes aren't really serious. I also hate the whole "loud and angry screaming is funny," but Charriii rarely takes it that far. That doesn't mean he never does it. It's just that he rarely does it, and when it's taken to a large extension, it's usually relegated to games or moments that regularly deserve it. None of this is supposed to be serious, and more or less is either relegated to opinion or jokes, good or bad. Thanks for being good about the depression moment.
Also, your little cuts into quotes are only funny because of the initial cut, like a "It was so sudden I couldn't help but chuckle" but nothing actively genuine.... Also, getting angry the way you do seems a little hypocritical in that you're getting angry over stupid stuff, like Charriii generally is (unless it's actually something to get angry over). And even if Charriii glosses over things or doesn't fully think things through, it's just human nature to not have a full understanding of everything. I'm a crazy big Sonic fan, but I certainly don't know everything about it, and sometimes skip the bigger or smaller details.....
I guess one more thing, when you put out the whole "Nobody cares" thing, it's both a bit annoying and a tiny bit insensitive. One small thing can lead to something really big and important, and it's also important to ask questions. For example, when Charriii asks where Shadow got the picture of Gerald and Maria from, it's that question that unfolds a little more for Shadow. Shadow deliberately sought out that specific picture so he could have one last goodbye, and it's so good for his character, but to say no one cares is kinda downplaying the moment.

19:38 Actually, I think the reason why he brought that up was referring to how at the beginning of the game, Black Doom tells Shadow to find all the Chaos Emeralds for him, and then Shadow heads into the city to do just that, though he says he's finding them to unlock his past. I remember he brought it up in the original EWW, but it didn't come up here so I just wanted to help clarify. Again. But not rude this time.

100% Kirby and the Forgotten Land about a week ago, really great game. Anyway I found out awhile ago that the slab of meat in the Luncheon Kingdom is from a T-rex. According to the art book, the Volbonans killed a T-rex for the meat.

This I consider to be Adventure 4! It concludes the adventure series with the plot of Shadow and the connections with his character since it continues in heroes that I consider as Adventure 3.
I know this is shadows games but it feels like Sonic Adventure 4.

Also the Chapter 1 video has what just might be my favorite joke of his (technically two) with his “Bad Guy” sins.

Oh boy, so like look i get it we all love shadow so sega decided “yeah lets make a whole game for him” and it makes sense kind of but like it also doesn’t, anyway the gameplay oh god where do i begin first off the story is confusing and unlogical af and shadow feels like such a prick in this game and shadow literally controls like ice simply by looking at footage its so clear how the physics work and the gun gameplay is extremely bad and i could go on but this would be a whole essay so heres one positive i like the idea of being good or evil so i give this game a 3/10 and 5 omochao guns
