  • This is probably the best abandoned hospital i have ever filmed for my channel, the site closed in 2009 and the stuff that has been left in here will blow you away! We even found areas with power still on and even some of the machines still had a power supply to them! But that’s not all!…. We found scanning equipment, patient records, ☢️ material and even 💯 real human body organs!! Sit back and i hope you enjoy this weeks video 🙂
The Royal Hospital Haslar, formerly the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar was one of several hospitals serving the local area. It Is now being converted into retirement flats. The hospital itself is a Grade II listed building.
Although no record of a formal opening of the Royal Hospital Haslar can be traced, it is believed to have opened on the 12th October 1753. Many famous men and women have served at Haslar, among them James Lind, the 'father of nautical medicine' who discovered a cure for scurvy.

I had a scan for my first baby at Royal Naval Hospital Haslar whilst I was in the WRNS. I remember the hospital well, having visited friends who were there for operations and health care. The equipment and healthcare provided is now split between the NHS and the Defence Medical Services but in those days, it was just the DMS. Good explore, thank you ❤

Wow! this is a fabulous video,I remember watching your other ones Colin and they were great, but to see it now is quite a shock in some ways and weirdly sad. But it is really good the place is going to be used and not just demolished!!.I had forgotten the spooky bit until you started talking about it. Thank you for revisiting the old hospital and giving us all another look. Looking forward already to next weeks. Take care.😃

Loved this explore it was interesting to hear the comparison to your previous visits. It's remarkably in good shape but has an apocalyptic vibe. You'd think the equipment could have been salvaged and leaving patient info is bad. Beautiful arch windows at the end. I enjoy your strange images you have captured on film in your videos they are a true mystery. Take care 😊

Another interesting video. All those records should of been destroyed or kept safe somewhere when the hospital first got shut down

Brilliant video Colin-my wifes grandma lived to 99 years old and lived on Medina Road in Cosham for 80 of them. She had an operation at Haslar many years ago.
