@@roba1899 To be fair, Nuno got a lot of credit. Kotzen got almost none. His first instructional video... i put him up there with Becker, Lane and Timmons.
Winger were one of the few bands of the era who used interesting rhythms and harmonies rather than burning the minor scale over E minor C and D. Reb is awesome!
I kinda fell off the chair , when I heard it for the first time ! Buddy of mine , who was a guitar teacher told me - Wes , you gotta hear Reb Beach ! ... I did & became his fan instantly ! ... Later on I found out that Reb was also highly influenced by my favorite guitar player , The Mighty - Steve Morse !!! Great taste indeed ! ...
wes worach Madeline was another great song. Kip really fucked that band with all the pretty boy ballerina thin skinned shtick. I'm sure he realizes it now. Everybody makes mistakes though and they were all talented as hell. I still like some of their music if not only to hear Reb shred it up. He's a genius.
Reb, was one of the most under-rated guitarist … saw him with Winger here in Richmond, Va. in the 80's and I have to say, I have never seen a more impactful , intense solo like he did !!!! Reb totally astonished me , he is technically sound beginning to end !
I met Reb at an in store appearance in Lakeland Florida in 1993. I honestly had never really paid attention to Winger but Reb was super funny, cool and engaging with the handful of local dudes who showed up. He told a couple great stories about writing with Kip Winger, recording a Mountain Dew commercial and Bob Dylan being confused by a Floyd Rose. All the best to Reb. Incredible player.
I had the pleasure of seeing Extreme open for Winger in 1990 in Savannah, GA. (It was on a Sunday in a gymnasium type building) All of Extreme, and especially Nuno Bettencourt, had their eyes fixed on every note Reb played. Reb absolutely killed it that night and did a tapping "acoustic" solo which blew my mind. Reb and Nuno are both amazing, but Nuno was the student that night!
Reb early on in the video: "What's the one thing you know now that you wish you'd known then?" - "I wish I'd had more self-confidence." Reb later in the video: "You can't compare me to Lynch and Paul Gilbert. Those guys are amazing guitar players!" Don't understand why he's so modest. He is a definite guitar hero from the 80s. The Seventeen solo alone is one of the best in the genre!
I totally agree Reb, there’s a lot of great technical players (at a level of playing I could only dream of achieving) out there nowadays but where are the songs!?
I think that nick Johnston, intervals, Polyphia, Guthrie Govan makes quite the melodic stuff. Obviously you will never hear something like Eddie van halen riffs/rhythm /George lynch etc, one of a kind
Love your channel man , great interview one of the best Reb interviews I’ve ever seen. Just like two good buddies chatting music. Reb is my favorite player. Very unique player I absolutely love his tapping technique it’s so smooth it’s not even fair .
Thanks so much for the kind words, Matt! I’m so happy to hear you enjoy the interviews and I greatly appreciate your support!🙏🎸🎸 Hands down, this is one of my favorite interviews ever and you wouldn’t believe how much work it took to lock this one in lol 🙌🎸🎸🎸

I've started to play guitar right after seeing Reb Beach's Cutting Loose video on RUclips, back in 2015. Your solos just changed my life man, thank you.
Wow such a great interview with Reb! He deserves the recognition. I have his other solo album and his videos/ dvd, glad to see more people out there who are aware of his stuff with Winger etc.!
Awesome interview! Not nearly enough Reb stuff out there, and yet he's got one of the best guitar personas. Always cracking jokes, knows a LOT about being a musician. Please have more Reb in the future!
This has quickly become one of my fav YT channels. You've been able to get some of my fav guitarists and you always seem to have a really great rapport with them. I'm also very impressed with the fact that the production on each video is getting better and better. Lighting, audio/mics, etc. This is a great channel and I'm looking forward to where you're able to go with it. Fanfuckingtastic job man.
This is one of the best interviews ever by mr.shred! Reb is hilarious! Who would have known?? Great questions, responses and very informative. Love it🤘🤘
Reb is awesome and so humble. He once had a RUclips video where he showed people how to play the intro in “Seventeen”, because so many people were doing it wrong. Record company had the video pulled down due to intellectual property.
I like the personality of Reb, very humble and nice, the people maybe dont know much about him and his amazing talent but he like a leyend smile and player the guitar with passion like always, very motivational, like again a true leyend, and yes nice interview, very good video.
Great interview with Reb. He is seriously one of the best guitarists from my generation, "Waiting for a Heartbreak" proves this as the difficulty of Reb's own signature sound takes on the likes of Eddie Van Halen.
Nice interview!Winger have become part of my life since the last 20 years.Their music is way deeper than most of the average 80's band.I really look forward to their next record
Great interview brother. I remember being 18 and learning she’s only 17. Very underrated guy. It’s sad such a talented guy had to go through that hard time. Especially when you see people that doesn’t have a drop of his talent make it big....

Thank you so very much for this video interviewing Reb! I was hoping that you would ask him about his amplifiers, in particular Kitty Hawk Amps. Again, thank you so much for this video!
I'm just happy Reb continue to make music. I always tell my Reb story. I was in NStuff Music, in town where Reb lives. And hes in there talking with Dave Lewis and I notice him. And he looks over and I look away. I wish it was better. I was kinda star struck and wanted to allow him to continue to be comfy in his hometown. So that's that
Subbed, I very much enjoyed this interview. I'm not sure how many vids you have out or how I missed them but I'll catch them from now on. So well done and yes, have a small practice amp on the next one... :)
