In this video, Dr. David E. Berman discusses what to expect after a breast augmentation surgery. Generally patients feel tightness. Some feel pain or discomfort. This is because your muscle was sitting over your rib cage, but is now sitting over an implant.
Pain after a breast augmentation interestingly does not depend on the size of the implant. A small implant might result in a disproportionate amount of pain, while a large one might result in no discomfort at all. Another thing to be aware of is that there will be swelling in your upper breasts. This will make it appear as if the implants are too high. If you have this it is normal. The swelling will go down. Recovery will take a full three months.

My surgeon said that I had thicker fibers in my left breast. It hurt like hell everytime he touched it.. I was awake the whole time and really numbed but I felt like as if I wasn’t

I woke up (day 4) with an extreme burning sensation in my left breast. It felt like it was on fire, as well as a pulling sensation in my nipple. Is that normal? 🥺

@@amanda_world9 I feel much better! Still feeling a lot of hypersensitivity. Like if anything touches them they feel really sore. Im not as swollen now, but still sitting high and tight. I’m almost 4 weeks post op.

I am having something similar! In my right breast, I developed around day 9 this lightning bolt ripping feeling at the outermost side breast into my side where my breast meets my side. Whenever I move my arm a certain way, it sends this searing pain that doesn't stop until I gently move my arm back down. Did you encounter this? Is it nerve pain?

@@Luuvmacc oh girl I’m 3.5 weeks out and you’re going to have days or comfort and days of discomfort. It could even change by the hour. I’m realizing now I probably won’t feel the best until 6-8weeks PO and even up to a few months.

I feel you girl, I feel the firmness and I'm freaking out, this was my second b.a. I had capsular contraction and it was bad so I'm so scared of that happening again, I dont even know what's normal anymore pain wise, swelling and firm

Also did your dr tell you to massge? If so when? I've read some drs say it's very necessary and other say you can do more damage then good with massages.

Hope you don’t mind questions but it’s good to talk to someone who got them too.. I see PS tomorow to take the plaster off my incisions.. mine are still so hard!
