i'm fine with them handing out stuff and making it easier for newbies. i keep saying this. pvp in bdo outside T1 and AoS is not accessible for new players because the gear ceiling is too high, you have to grind if you really want to enjoy uncap pvp content. this is one of the reason why people don't do pvp and not only that pvp is not profitable you mostly losing money if you do pvp, so instead of wasting their time and silver pvping they just keep grinding, grind grind until they catch up to them. they're forced to grind because it's the only/most efficient way to get silver. i believe if there is more people with gear we will see more people pvp in uncap content. with kharazards there is no building process, from 0 to 800gs you're doing the same shit. most bdo streamers i watched said they're all happy with it except you.

One person claims the castle and must accept duels to keep the castle and if you aren't available to accept duels then it subs in an AI boss that the challenger has to beat to take the castle from you while you're offline. They didn't mention anything about making money by killing people in your domain, you only get taxes from people grinding in your zone. I guess you can just grind in your zone without paying taxes and can freely kill any people interrupting your grind.

Only reason some people don't do them is that they're antisocial. No reason to develop content for them when 90% of the game is already solo content.

I think demon land is a bigger deal than people think. If you're talking about an entire region that has strongholds with bosses and grind zones throughout and that's the new standard moving forward, big win just on the PVE side. Add in PVP and as these regions progress we'll have a very intricate mixed combat scene that have huge in-game and irl community implications
And you know if you meet good owner of land, you can grind in peace. Then people will move over his/her land. The land with worse owner will be jealous and starts to invade that owner's land. Damn the story is insane!!! =))))) then the new people will raise to defeat the bad owner or vice versa

After watching the whole thing i gotta say im cautiously optimistic I think the #1 thing is they didnt announce much of anything that didnt have actual proof of it being made in game, a lot of people dont trust them and thats understandable but awhen they talked about features that never got into the game it was usually based off of thumbnails and concept art at best BUT this time they showed actual proof of concept, the demon land has actual assets and already in large part is already being worked on and finished that is a HUGE deal NOW i wish they wouldve addressed the broken promises in past balls directly, and mafe a promise to only talk about things in a way where its actually going to be in the game UNLESS they state that its not guaranteed, i think that would go a long way. The gear speed up is a bit weird but it could be good depending on how they move going forward, i hope they take advice from the streams of blue and the homies and make actual builds almost like an ARPG would be cool even if the more complex things are only for PVE and then have more basic stats and builds like they are now for PVP, maybe PVE exclusive crystals or a PVE exclusive skill tree of some sort that make PVE more dynamic and varied without completely breaking PVP. if they do something like that it would make pushing new players to recent gear make sense New grind zone looks neat but it comes down to how dynamic and interesting it is, the movment is the best part of bdo combat if you sit at a tower its gonna suck Overall im actually coming away from this hopeful although still skeptical OH YEA Js OUTTA HERE BABY LMAO THE NEW GUYS THE GOAT WE NEED A NICKNAME FOR HIM

Should I just cry or accept the end of console. I thought is was bad when we saw the video saying we on console wouldn’t be getting any updates from now on due to hardware limitations. To see them and hear them say we are trying to bring content to console, 2 seconds , just enough to back up the video saying no more. To see all those gifts and to know we will never see them is very sad indeed. Hardware can’t be upgraded to handle the game till ps6 or ps6 pro. How many years before that happens. So why should I stick around and spend money. I can’t. If there is no community on console to keep the economy going and no new content for years . Eventually we are going to cost them money and they will shut console servers down. 4 years and finally we get snow, then told no more content for possibly 6 more. Sad, sad only.

Well, it's like watching a sinking ship getting considerable rescue efforts. As someone who left BDO for the better half of a year and have been enjoying time with other games like TFD, I think you guys should just wait till all the promises are fulfilled. Otherwise just wait for Crimson Desert. It's a much better experience to play a game on the rise.
Excited fort e game as someone that does lifeskills a lot. Huge changes and additions recently and over the next month, as well as saying they will be working on lifeskills the rest of the year. PvP has too high a skill floor so couldn't care less, but good for people that are into the scene.
As someone more on the PvE/Life skill side 8/10 I liked what I heard. Also new to PC , the catch up mechanics are motivating me to do more then AFK fish and Play again. As I started they released sovereign weapons and going from Tuvula to that seemed like a very overwhelming task and chore. I started Afking being unmotivated felt like it take over a year to even get sovereign let alone new accessories etc.. the catch up mechanics motivated me. Now I’m not totally new to BDO I am new to PC , I played console prior and hit endgame and spent 2 years with nothing to do. I feel for them. Xbox is apparently the current hold up , they can’t release PS5 version till Xbox is done (Sony is finished and ready to go). They did release and update prior to ball that stated we can’t start getting the missing content till Next Gen is done. Well they , I only hope on occasionally for friends at this point I main PC now.

Have 1k hours on bdo console before I quit. Recently got a pc and figured there’s no way I’d play bdo again. Deadeye is the reason I’ll at least make a season character on pc for a couple weeks
I left console in 2021 and thought the same about my PC char, then it got me hooked again :D U will feel so good on PC after console that it will be heaven for you. You'll play much much more, dw :D

If you're talking about an entire region that has strongholds with bosses and grind zones throughout and that's the new standard moving forward, big win just on the PVE side. Add in PVP and as these regions progress we'll have a very intricate mixed combat scene that have huge in-game and irl community implications
And you know if you meet good owner of land, you can grind in peace. Then people will move over his/her land. The land with worse owner will be jealous and starts to invade that owner's land. Damn the story is insane!!! =))))) then the new people will raise to defeat the bad owner or vice versa

After watching the whole thing i gotta say im cautiously optimistic
I think the #1 thing is they didnt announce much of anything that didnt have actual proof of it being made in game, a lot of people dont trust them and thats understandable but awhen they talked about features that never got into the game it was usually based off of thumbnails and concept art at best BUT this time they showed actual proof of concept, the demon land has actual assets and already in large part is already being worked on and finished that is a HUGE deal
NOW i wish they wouldve addressed the broken promises in past balls directly, and mafe a promise to only talk about things in a way where its actually going to be in the game UNLESS they state that its not guaranteed, i think that would go a long way.

Lifeskilling being buffed is so nice man, i do hope we get like legitimate mini games for all of them at some point, imaging a cooking mama like minigame for active cooking or something like that would be huge for lifeskillers. Yea i know a lot of people hate on lifeskilling but i think its great because when i get tired of grinding i can progress my character in other ways its a good change of pace, and if it was more fun and rewarding to do active skilling it would be even better.
The new lore stuff is cool BDO needs to focus more on it imo, the story is pretty interesting and with the new story reworks im assuming its a lot better than before at least.
The gear speed up is a bit weird but it could be good depending on how they move going forward, i hope they take advice from the streams of blue and the homies and make actual builds almost like an ARPG would be cool even if the more complex things are only for PVE and then have more basic stats and builds like they are now for PVP, maybe PVE exclusive crystals or a PVE exclusive skill tree of some sort that make PVE more dynamic and varied without completely breaking PVP. if they do something like that it would make pushing new players to recent gear make sense
New grind zone looks neat but it comes down to how dynamic and interesting it is, the movment is the best part of bdo combat if you sit at a tower its gonna suck
Overall im actually coming away from this hopeful although still skeptical

Well, it's like watching a sinking ship getting considerable rescue efforts. As someone who left BDO for the better half of a year and have been enjoying time with other games like TFD, I think you guys should just wait till all the promises are fulfilled. Otherwise just wait for Crimson Desert. It's a much better experience to play a game on the rise.

Excited fort e game as someone that does lifeskills a lot. Huge changes and additions recently and over the next month, as well as saying they will be working on lifeskills the rest of the year. PvP has too high a skill floor so couldn't care less, but good for people that are into the scene.
As someone more on the PvE/Life skill side 8/10 I liked what I heard. Also new to PC , the catch up mechanics are motivating me to do more then AFK fish and Play again. As I started they released sovereign weapons and going from Tuvula to that seemed like a very overwhelming task and chore. I started Afking being unmotivated felt like it take over a year to even get sovereign let alone new accessories etc.. the catch up mechanics motivated me. Now I’m not totally new to BDO I am new to PC , I played console prior and hit endgame and spent 2 years with nothing to do. I feel for them. Xbox is apparently the current hold up , they can’t release PS5 version till Xbox is done (Sony is finished and ready to go). They did release and update prior to ball that stated we can’t start getting the missing content till Next Gen is done. Well they , I only hope on occasionally for friends at this point I main PC now.

Have 1k hours on bdo console before I quit. Recently got a pc and figured there’s no way I’d play bdo again. Deadeye is the reason I’ll at least make a season character on pc for a couple weeks

i mostly play for life skills, pve how good the game looks, and i dont pvp (saved shadow arena) but i will now try the hardcore(when it comes to console in 2years) and ill give red battle field a shot again, the changes souned good to me.
i just wanted to put it out there as someone who does not pvp , these two things sounded great to me. as a non pvp person
