    I am interested to where the strength comparison to leather comes from ?
    I have no doubt that these are excellent riding jeans and more comfortable than leather pants, but it's hard to believe that sliding down the road after a crash these would be more durable than leather riding gear.
    Can you please expand on the comparison ?
    Thank you.

    Dear Motolegends. Thank you again for another great video. Question? When I go on your website it seems a lot of the Rokker jeans (when you select the leg length) are discontinued. Are you moving away from the Rokker mens jeans? Safe riding!!!

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  2 года назад +1

      No not moving away from Rokker but the do refresh their styles regularly. Maybe email help@motolegends.com with query and they will help. This year’s styles are Legend, AAA and black tapered.

    Why do you keep mentioning "Slide time", there's no such thing. It's "abrasive resistance time". If I'm wrong please show where in either EN 13595-2:2002 or EN 17092-2:2020 Slide time is mentioned.
    Your implication is that you can slide for x seconds before wearing through a garment, which for a start does not take into account the varying road surfaces abrasive qualities. When I hear "Slide time" I switch off and buy elsewhere.

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  2 года назад

      A slide time, as it is known, is a relative measure that relates to the time it takes for a material to wear through on a Cambridge machine. It does not equate to any measure of sliding down the road. That is your own disingenuous interpretation. CP

      @@Motolegends thank you for calling me a liar. But to correct your own miss truths. No it's not know as a slide time it's called abrasive resistance time. I've only ever heard it called as you do in dubious marketing.

      Well, on a daily basis, I talk to test houses like SATRA, manufacturers, designers and all kinds of other people in the motorcycle world, and everybody is totally at ease with the phrase ‘slide time’, even though it may not be used in the legislation itself. In fact, today, I received correspondence from a gentleman who was central to the shaping of EN 17092. It was a note about EN13595 and the Cambridge machine, and three times he referred to ‘slide times’. I don’t know what your day job is but, as in most businesses, there is terminology that is used by those who work within it, and the ‘slide time’ is one of those. I didn’t invent the phrase, but most people seem to understand what it means, especially if they are conversant with the testing protocol. Can’t be helped really if you choose, or chose, to misinterpret it. CP

      @@Motolegends ‘slide time’ is one of those used by common people, not by the certification bodies

      Up to you what you do, and where you buy, but everyone in the industry understands what a ‘slide time’ is. It’s also much more friendly and meaningful than bureaucratic jargon such as ‘abrasive resistance time’. But really haven’t you got something better to do with your time than share your personal feelings with a world that isn’t particularly interested in hearing them?

    Will these jeans fit over the KLIM Adventure Boots?

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  2 года назад

      That depends, I imagine on the size of the jean. On a 28” waist, I imagine not; on a 40” waist, almost certainly they will. CP

    Wouldn't the extra dyneema help to shed more body heat from these new 'stronger than stronger than leather jeans'?

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  2 года назад

      Not sure I understand the point that is being made, especially as these jeans don’t contain any Dyneema. CP

      @@Motolegends Interesting, can you confirm the brand of UHMWPE? As the claimed benefits include light weight and heat conductivity I would deduce greater comfort for their intended purpose. Maybe Shaun could run some trials?

      "Alledgedly" - I could tell you the moon is made of cream cheese that doesn`t make it so. Testing and certification will. BS (EN) 13595 will answer some of these issues if manufacturers take the opportunity to upgrade their certification.

      Yes, that’s exactly my point. You can always chase higher levels of protection, but often when you do you end up with something that is not copmfortable to wear. CP
