Jon Bon Jovi! He's been at Pats games a lot in the box with Kraft & also at training camp a lot over the years! I've got some good pics of JBJ & Julian on the sidelines....some side by side with Kraft, too...but ya, JBJ!!!
If it’s possible for you to do this again with Eric would be awesome. I normally have a short attention span but since I found this on your TikTok page I’ve been binge watching this episode. I’m about 34 minutes into this
this was a great episode!!! Hilarious! Next to Gronk's this made me laugh the most! I loved hearing you guys hang out and talk shop after it was over! Great job guys!
Heads up, the NFL Throwback YT channel is a really good pairing for this pod. I went back and watched the highlights of 2001 Rams vs Pats Superbowl and the Colts vs Pats AFC Championship Ty got three picks in. HUGE hits by Wilson in that AFC Championship
Them talking about college football games made me think about the 1995 national championships game between Nebraska and Florida. I think it was would be cool getting someone from that game to talk about it
I saw a clip of Mahomes talking about Elway being one of his favorite QBs. What's ironic and others have said it also, is that Mahomes and Elway's playing style are actually very similar. You look at some old John Elway highlights and some of the crazy stuff he was able to do I agree with it.
As a long time Chargers fan, I've always been impressed with Chiefs fans as a whole. And it's fitting that even their "star" fans are all just amazing, down to earth people.
79 year old Gram, watched the 1st Super Bowl (which wasn’t called the Super Bowl) with a great group while I was in college, including Bernie Casey who I believe was playing for the 49’s at that time. I went to Bowling Green State University and Bernie was working on his Masters in Fine Arts at that time. He was also one of my grad student instructors in the Art Dept. We gathered at a friends apt and just watched this game never realizing what it would become to Football.
I will tell you how iconic this game is in Chiefs history... a local station played it in full the night before the AFC Championship Game vs. the Titans, and I cheered just like I did when I was a Junior in HS watching it the first time. I wish they would have made this a tradition.
Great episode! Bronco fan here. I loved to hate Julian, and now I hate to love the guy. Can we get a 1997 or Broncos Superbowl episode with Trey Parker and Matt Stone? If they're not available, tied for my first choice, Chauncey Billups in the chair. He dunked over me - and pretty much my whole high school team - back in the day. They have been solid community figures and I need to reminisce considering the current state of our team.
I respect the Chiefs, but as a Patriots fan I remember when N’keal Harry scored against the Chiefs and the refs said it wasn’t a touchdown. We should’ve won that game, but it is what it is.
I enjoyed the commentary about Mahomes being under the center a lot more last year. I’m a Dak fan formerly a Cowboys fan and early in the year I understood McCarthy putting Dak under center more. Where he lost me is McCarthy didn’t realize he didn’t have Aaron Jones or fresh out of Ohio State Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield so Dak being under center was a hindrance. After their rough start to the season & the bye week you could tell Dak said hey Mike we don’t have a run game to take advantage of Cowboys being under center. Pollard is a spot rep guy. He no longer had Zeke to get the tough yards so pollard went from over 5 yards a carry to 3.8. Hopefully they’ll prioritize grabbing a RB with fresh legs in the draft. KC replaced their entire O line after their last Super Bowl loss or wherever they got eliminated. Cowboys lost (2) linemen. They can remake their O line be effective. I mean they still have the best guard combo in the league. So they can draft a decent center when he’s flanked by those (2) hall of famers. Right tackle is solid. They just have to figure out left tackle. That’s a major question but u can’t reach for a left tackle in the 1st round if he’s not worthy of the 24th pick in 1st round. I don’t mind them not going ape shit in free agency cause those free agents rarely live up to the money they given in free agency. It’s the same concept of overpaying a guy cause u have a void in your roster. Out of all those free agents I can name in one hand which guys actually deserve the money they received. Patrick Queen to the Steelers absolutely was worth it. The moves that seemed worth it were mostly trades. Keenan Allen definitely was a great pickup for Chicago. The formula for a young QB seems lately to be trade for a vet star and a young stud at receiver. They have Moore already. #1 pick the QB needs the weapons to give him success early although I preferred them keeping Fields with all the new weapons. He didn’t have much to work with. DJ Moore #12 had half of Fields passing yards and TDs. Houston has a great defensive mind for a coach so they will be solid there as long as he’s the coach. Houston offense was a strength but they fortified every thing around the QB adding another trade with Stefon Diggs and the return of rookie Dell. I just hope Diggs presence doesn’t stunt Dell’s growth or mess with the QB pressuring him to force him the ball. Stroud reads defenses well and sees the field. Eagles are another team that said ok we have something at QB so let’s draft a receiver high and trade for AJ Brown who’s a complete stud. On top of that the year they won the super bowl they led the league in rushing. Best way to develop a QB. NOW LOOK AT THE PANTHERS! They let a premier pass rusher go to the Giants even though they were like $80 million under the cap. They didn’t follow the model and their #1 QB will probably be out of the league unless someone really liked him before that draft is willing to give him another shot & let him sit a year to rebuild his confidence. The kid probably questioning whether he’s even an NFL player (not even a QB) at this point
I always feel like I'm hanging out with you when I watch these. Chilling with Julian Edelman would be the shit, seems like such a child dude. Those college kids who got to party with Jules and Dola at Harvard after one of the super bowls are lucky AF, I wanna smoke marb reds with Jules.
The very last NFL game I attended live at a stadium, was the 1994 KC vs. Miami playoff game, at the then Joe Robbie stadium in Miami. Montana vs. Marino. The last game previous to that was a miserable 34 degree steady drizzle, soaking wet, mostly drunk, eating 1/2 cooked steak tips off a hibachi grill (had to keep lighting due to the effing drizzle) at the old, aluminum benched, piece of crap Sullivan Stadium in Foxboro, Pats vs. NY Jets. I learned from both miserable, cold n wet, and warm and nice settings to watch a game, that at home on a comfy couch is the best venue. Although I will say seeing the M&M game was at that time was very memorable. 😉
Dig the dramatic moments in NFL history on the wall. Bradshaw SB X stands out. III was probably the most important but 10 meant that the Steelers wren't lucky underdogs the year before and the first NFL dynasty (as we know it today) was born. Dallas or Pitt was the theme of the 70s, the decade where the NFL became the American game, and all future players owe a debt to.
I was a young kid that kept sneaking down stairs and hid to watch it while my dad had it on in the living room. After getting caught a couple times he finally let me watch it with him even though I had school the next day. We have bonded over the chiefs since I was a kid in the 80's. Now I'm doing the same with my son but he is watching a different Chiefs than I grew up with. Lol
Hey guys don't forget about the movies necessary roughness Wild cats And the 1 with tom cruise that has Craig team Nelson in Craig T. Nelson in it also All the right moves
It’s known as the “Montana magic” game by chiefs fans. It’s so frustrating to hear Stone street not acknowledge or seem to know about that. 😂🤦🏻♂️ The name came from the Kansas City Star headline the next day.
Nope! Lifelong KC resident. Detroit Lions fan. Chiefs sucked when I was a kid. Lions were halfway decent back then. I've never regretted my decision. Not even in '08.
What other super fans should we have on?⬇
mcconnaughhay, I could see it going wrong though lol.
Wiz Khalifa for Steelers?
McConaughey? Ha. Yes, would be cool.
Not a patriots or chiefs fan would be cool.
Pats fan,Mindy Kaling would b awsme
Jon Bon Jovi! He's been at Pats games a lot in the box with Kraft & also at training camp a lot over the years! I've got some good pics of JBJ & Julian on the sidelines....some side by side with Kraft, too...but ya, JBJ!!!
Eric went from a coach on Modern Family and I honestly thought he was acting but no I was wrong. He loves football. Absolutely huge respect
Julian was born to talk in front of camera.
He can play football too lmao
@@MiNT-qs9jsHe played football?!?😱
He was born to be a professional gambler
Both these dudes are.
Also, different show, but I want to shout out Boston Conner for the same natural talent. That man carries PMS.
Jules we obviously are proud you are one of us Bostonians.
We love Jules
I love that his guests are fans too. Eric, Heidi etc. awesome
I just want to say thank you to the WHOLE GAMES WITH NAMES squad. No matter how shitty my day may feel. You fellas lift me up.
Eric getting orthopedics from Brady via Jules is like 2 degrees of separation
I was not expecting this crossover
You're welcome😉
If it’s possible for you to do this again with Eric would be awesome. I normally have a short attention span but since I found this on your TikTok page I’ve been binge watching this episode. I’m about 34 minutes into this
Best new pod out-thx for the content guys!
What an unbelivable guest and fan of his team and the sport
The Stella scene is absolute gold

The only time I ever rooted for the Chiefs. I was a huge Joe Montana fan.
"Brady fans" were the new "Montana fans". But now, Mahomes has his fans if he ever leaves the Chiefs.
@robg8203 I'm definitely not a Mahomes fan lol.
I saw a clip of Mahomes talking about Elway being one of his favorite QBs. What's ironic and others have said it also, is that Mahomes and Elway's playing style are actually very similar. You look at some old John Elway highlights and some of the crazy stuff he was able to do I agree with it.

With the recent announcement of his retirement, you guys need to get Jack Edwards on to talk about Game 7 vs. The Leafs in '13!
Such a great episode!!!!

1994 is when I said goodbye to Chiefs. They broke my heart. Couldn't take anymore! Nice to finally have a winning team!!
awesome interview
I just started watching modern family 2 weeks ago lol coach Tucker a winner
This should have been an hour longer!
Thought I wouldn’t like this loved this episode
#3rdandEdelman.. dude could not be stopped on 3rd downs, even tho EVERYONE knew the ball was going to him.. mad respect Julian! 👊🏼

The Patriots need to bring back the silver/gray pants and keep them.
Should get will ferrel on here to talk about all those baseball games he played in that one day.
That would be all-time!

As a Chargers fan who's felt the pain of Edelman being wide the fuck open, I agree with this take.

I would bet a lot of money that every chiefs fan who was around at that time remembers where they were and who they were with that Monday night.
Yep, I remember exactly where I was🤣

I'd love to see James Harrison on here to talk about the greatest play in SB History
Best fictional character = Pablo from Backyard Football
Its not the Chiefs Mafia. Its the Chiefs KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kyle DID stop running the ball in the 2nd half 🤣🤣

Just before the Super Bowl this year.

You have a lot of super bowls because of both of those kickers and defense 😂😂
That dude is the most American person ever......😂
If someone has a ticket stub to that game you frame it 2 great hall of Fame QB
If Jules would have stuck up for Bill during the Dynasty BS, he wouldnt have gone on McAfee first.
Derrick Thomas deserved to be mentioned more.
melissa Ethridge and isn't Brad Pitt a chiefs fan?. Henry Cavill (superman) is a chiefs fan too

This was filmed during Super Bowl week? Really Julian?
Gotta bank them casts! I have no idea why, but that’s what the industry insiders tell me!
2 degrees from now on
Will Brady ever go on your show??????
