  • कर्कलो कस्ता बिरामीले खान नहुने रैछ । Karkalo is the Nepali name for the taro plant, Colocasia which comes from the tuberous root. it is found almost in all parts of Nepal . Nepalese use all three parts of the plant including the leaves - karkalo ko paat, the young stalks -gaaba or gaava, and the taro tubers or corms -pidalu to prepare various dishes and vegetables.
