UGH! Head restraints for me are the most painful and todays cars having a lack of mid area lumbar! Im looking for a car now and am feeling so deflated to think I am going to be forced to deal with back pillows because of US regulations on head restraints for whiplash. While it may reduce whiplash, the head restraints are causing a lot of people issues without it. Seat comfort offered by manufacturers need to offer more adjustments to head (allow front and back) AND mid lumbar
I'm a short female with back issues ranging from spinal curvature at thoracic level, several bulging (painful) discs and sciatica. It's so bad that I can no longer sit and drive for more than 20 minutes without jiggling about trying to stop the pain. The most comfortable car I have *ever* owned, was a Chrysler voyager. It was like sitting on a comfortable armchair. I'm saving up to buy another one. I've found that the smaller the car, the more uncomfortable the seats are.
Much over looked area in car reviews. Also had a comment that I found a Cadillac SRX seat foam to be lacking.. In a $60k+ car! Had an impression that u could feel the hard base.. And maybe it's more of a USA carmaker thing over there but m sure not the only ones. best I sat in from experience are bmw 3er leather seats.
Absolute garbage, sponsored by Opel. I'm here looking for tips on comfortable seats precisely because I bought a 2018 Opel Zafira with AGR driver seat recommended here. It is so painfully uncomfortable, I can't drive for more than 30 minutes without pain in butt. Issue is caused by huge side support and thin middle that doesn't allow legs to move. Another issue is shoulders - side support goes so high that it presses on shoulders, which means I cannot rest my back without getting shoulder pain after a while. My old 2005 Opel Zafira B has excellent seat. I had few 7-8000 km trips in it across Europe in comfort. With AGR seat in new Zafira I can't drive 100km without break and after few hours of sitting in this junk I need few days to recover. Tried to fix it with various cushions, which makes it a bit better (can tolerate it for 100km instead of 50), but haven't found a solution yet. So I was looking for videos that could help me figure out how to fix it... and RUclips recommended this...
