Its an easy fix and you will see the results in seconds. Well worth the time spent though! thanks for the comment please sub for more ! :) have a great weekend from sunny England!
I have a Mumm-Ra that his eyes light up sometimes, i’m gonna try & cleaning his back connector with white vinegar & lighter fluid see if this fixes the issue
You would have to split the figure in half at the seams and inspect the wiring / leds inside for broken wires/ corrosion on the joints. You will be able to change the eye l.e.d.s once your inside if they are the problem.. prob some sort of corrosion.
An electrical tester with a light up bulb. This way if the bulb lights up you know there is power going to the figure. If the eyes dont light up it's probably the wiring inside the body.
@@retrorevival617 the eyes work, but I lost the ring. What can I use to light up the eyes instead of the ring, i.e. to make the battery connect to the back of the figure?
@@heroesytumbas an electrical tester with batteries or a power supply. You will need to make contact with the metal part in lionos back. The ring contains a battery which gives power to the figure. So you will have to recreate this somehow. Like I say an electrical tester (pen size/ pocket tester) would be ideal. Hope this helps? :)
@@retrorevival617 I know what I need to do, what I asked was if you knew what could I use to achieve it. The thing connecting to the back has to have the same shape as the ring's to work. The probe of the electrical tester doesn't fit the metal circle on the back of the figure. I thought you might knew about something with the same shape that I could use.
@@heroesytumbas no you misunderstand what I'm saying to you. An electrical tester has a positive and a negative contact. Put the positive end on the central contact point in the figures back and with the negative contact touch this on the outer circular contact point on the figs back. Basically the hole is like a car cigarette lighter socket. The outer circle will be the neg, the inner / central point/ contact is the positive. If you push this contact in while having the negative also touching the eyes should light up.
sometimes there is water damage inside the body from when kids have figures in the bath! could be some kind of corrosion or wiring damage inside is my guess. If you can manage to split the body apart and get to look inside it maybe fixable. I havent tried that yet for fear of breaking the figure but if you have a spare or a beater you can donate for the job it maybe worth it to fix one perhaps?
Watching this when you had it as a kid hits different when high lol
Thanks man, just picked one up.
im trying this. thanx from Brazil!

Cuánto tiempo los dejaste en el vinagre y el líquido del bote de metal que es? Gracias si me respondes
I've just bought a ring for mumm-ra and it's bad. So soak in vinegar for a couple of hours and dry naturally and it should be ok?? Thanks
I would soak it for 10 mins and see what it's like if it's bad continue to soak. Should be de corroded in mins..
@@retrorevival617 thank you and keep the tip videos coming. They help the public alot when stuck CHEERS

Can the metal part can be taken out from the plastic holder?
Yes it can
@@retrorevival617 how do you get it out?
What can I use to replace the ring when buying another one is not an option?

I suppose you could just soak the whole figure in white vinegar? Or will it take the paint?
