At its heart, it is a puzzle game. However, it is the good kind of puzzle game. There isn't one single "Correct" solution needed for victory and the game rewards mastery of the mechanics. There is an in game shop (that uses purely in-game currency, no MTX here thankfully) that you can use to give yourself some help if you need a little be extra of a boost. I tend to avoid the shop myself, but I do show it off in a later episode.
