There are a lot of quality of life inprovements in the updated rules... some things that will probably get an errata eventually too, but overall I like them.
I am also about to DM Vecna Eve of Ruin. I disagree with many poor reviews it's had. From reading the book, It looks so awesome and it's flaws can be easily fixed.
i allow PCs to use the classes/subclasses from 2014 or 2024 rules, following the wotc intent for compatibility: PCs can mix options, but if a PC uses anything from 2024, they must use the 2024 version for anything that exists in both. As a DM, i'll use the 2014 rules for conditions until there's a non-ugly DM screen for 2024.
Cons of the new book: Many of the pictures are for the tr...h. But, the content of the gameplay stuff looks actually create, Most of the stuff is nice or better as before (i only complain, that the evoker wizard has his sculptur skill re-placed to lvl6, instant of lvl 2, when that was the save zone ability for his aoe, but, the new 3. lvl skill looks nice to).
@@Noob_DnD_Dad Yeah, reason why i sayed, that most picture are bad. But, even there are some nice looking ones. Like the Archfey Warlock picture or the Eldrich Knight picture (who remind me on a Dragoon from Final fantasy). But the picture by the Orc? By the Elves? They can burn. And by the fighter picture is the face with the one who wield the shield weird
wow, good luck!
Thanks!

Yeah! I'm way excited! I'm also happy I get to run it for two different groups, so my prep can feed both campaigns!

I have really been enjoying it... but there is something ..off with the artwork. It tends to lean strongly a certain way...
