- This is a very important video to me and I really put a lot of work into it. I love the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise and I don't plan on leaving it.

Loved the video, so much that it inspired me to comment and explain my connection to Sonic and why I too love the series so much
If you've had literally 1 conversation with me you'd know that I have a huge love for Sonic Unleashed, and that it's a game that I hold close to my heart and would consider one of my favorite video games of all time. Imo, this was what I think should have always been the perfect Sonic, hes laid back and funny while also knows when to heroic and serious, which is why even though I'm critical of these games, I love Sonic in the Adventure era as well.
I'm not going to go too into depth of my criticisms of the series, as I wanted this to be a more positive comment about Sonic, but I would like to say that the reason I'm so critical of Sonic and it almost seems like I could hate the series, is because I actually LOVE the series. I like to think that people are the most critical with games that they have a deep connection with, which is why I'm so harsh on the new games and trailers. I love Sonic and want it succeed, which is why I get so frustrated when games like Forces and Boom come out and hurt the image of the series more and more.
I've always loved Sonic, even when I played 06 as a child I loved that game (probably because I didn't know what made a game good or bad, i just saw blue furry run fast and it made me happy).
The Sonic music is another reason I love the series so much. Today I had a really rough day and so I decided to relax and listen to some music, specifically Sonic music. I simply listened to some of the hub world themes of Unleashed and it immediately changed my mood for the better. If a connection to a game and some good music can completely change your mood, then that is some powerfull ass feelings towards a video game franchise.
There's very few games I can compare Sonic to when it comes to my love for a video game. The only games I'd say that even come close are Pokemon, FF7, and Spyro, but Sonic still beats those out by a mile.
Anyways, thats about it, also the Sonic orchestra made me cry as well :)

beautiful video man, loved it. It’s almost unexplainable how much joy Sonic brings to all of us fans. My gratitude for the franchise goes beyond all of my purchases I ever made with this franchise slapped onto it, I love it all.
I think I'll see sonic games from now on way more different than in the past :D
I never grew up with classic sonic games, the first game from him I played was sonic racing on the Wii, and I enjoyed and played that a lot when my friends where by me but in my free time I played more New Super Mario Bros. Wii with my brother.
I think both are good, sonic has really good music and speed and Mario is just more platformer and a lower difficulty, what probably made it more appealing to kids that don't want to spend hours learning a game.
But that's my thoughts :]
I started watching your videos a few days ago with the Sonic 06 Custom figure video and you got me really interested in the figures. Then seeing your love and passion for Sonic got me interested in trying the games! I'm not too sure about the classic ones at the moment as they are very hard and i am dying a lot but I'm gonna be trying Sonic Adventures soon and because of your videos I'm going to be getting my first Sonic figures in a few days! Thank you for properly introducing me to a great Franchise and I hope to become a even bigger fan down the line like yourself!

I share a very similar experience to you. I don't think any other piece of media has ever resonated with me as much as the Sonic series has.
I'm always finding new things to love about the characters or games, and those are the moments where being such an invested fan really pays off for me.
The 30th anniversary symphony was great, and even though it was just some video game music, it meant a whole lot more to me when I heard all of those songs. They have helped shape me as a person over the years and having all of that rush back into me at once was overwhelming.

Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, Pokémon, Kirby, Super Mario, Rayman, Megaman etc are kid's games, but I hardly see anyone saying adults are too old for them or that they suck. Does anyone have any idea as to why that is?
Nostalgia bias, maybe?
