Tig and mig can both weld aluminum, the most important thing there is that you have inert shielding gas (argon), as aluminimum is a really reactive son of a bleach. Even slight contamination in the air and its a sooty snotty mess.
@@hardwirecars check out "the fabrication series" - the dude there is a pro at welding aluminum. As a metal its not soft, its just more goopy when molten, id say it feels more "oily", compared to the "watery" steel.
I did some aluminum TIG welding in high school. I do remember having to have the thing quite clean otherwise your weld will look like garbage. I really don't think there is any way that you could weld aluminum with a carbon Arc. Just way too dirty. I even saw that video originally and thought.. yeah, that is definitely faked.
I'm not a welder but my three sons are, all ticketed, I knew that video was fake as soon as I saw it. I wonder how many gullible people he sucked into trying the sham welding trick...
What exactly did you debunk other than your supposed ability to follow directions . Critical thinking and problem solving is also prob. not a strong suit for you either . Well gotta go....oh don't play with matches you might actually learn something.
In the video, he also chipped off the flux-slag, which is something only welding rods contain.
Lmao. Uses straw broom to put out fire!
Carbon rod arc is really only good for making rubies.
yeah im sure you know already but you aint welding aluminum with an arc welder maybe tig but only good welders can do it.
