    I just hit like even if it is not 3 mins long, it's way better if you will keep your vid 10 to 15mins than 3 mins so the audience can grasp the topic. Thanks for the informative video.

      I agree! I stopped trying to make these very short when I realized it would be impossible for me to really explain everything in such a short amount of time.

    Great video! I was worried the extra 6 minutes were going to be unrelated, like a sponsorship or something, but it was more examples to make things clearer. :)

      No sponsorships here!
      It's very hard to keep these under 3 minutes. Some will be easier, this definitely wasn't one of them. haha thank you for watching! =)

    Nicely done video! Glad I discovered your channel today.
    Could you have substituted aida with toki in any of these examples?

    • @ToKiniAndy
      @ToKiniAndy  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! You can, but it will change the meaning slightly. Instead of "While" it's more like "That time I was"
      For example, in the first sentence "I studied Japanese while I was in Japan" it would become "I studied Japanese that time I was in Japan". Most of the time the difference isn't huge.
      食べている間 example might not work well with とき

    This might be a noob question, but what is the difference between 日本いるの時に and 日本いるの間に?

    • @ToKiniAndy
      @ToKiniAndy  5 лет назад +2

      If you were to say 日本にいる時 it's like "That time I was in Japan" while 日本にいる間 is more like "While I was/am in Japan"
      A big difference there, is that if you use 時 I'm going to assume it's a past event. 間 on the other hand will depend on the main clause. It could be past, present OR future.
      Hope that clears it up a little. ☺️
      Thank you for watching!
