    i watched many parts repeatedly, thank you a lot you corrected lots of my mistakes ! books does not really teach you with THIS amount of details, it just asks you to imitate the font its a good thing to have a real japanese person to explain if i made a mistake
    keep up !

    最後の名前も僕が市役所の人だったらびっくりして二度見すると思います笑
    ただ、払いの前の角を丸くしようとするのはなんでなんだろう、書道のようなかっこよさを求めるなら、一度筆を置いて払うので、鋭角になったほうがかっこいいと思います

    This is already proving to be a very useful video. I noticed that my オ was completely wrong. While the horizontal line had decent placement, the vertical line was in the center like a deformed 米. Even after your video I was struggling with the ク. My horizontal part occurred about a third of the way down the first stroke. After that was corrected, I struggled with placement. I didn't realize until looking up a how to write image of it that the first stroke started in the middle of the grid.

    Re the wo stroke order I had a look at my 3 different stroke order diagrams I had on hand and two had 2 strokes and one 3 ... .thanks for a great video to polish my Katakana. Cheers from Brendon in Hiroshima.

    I wanted to add that your editor did a great job with this video! I think this is one of your best. I watched all of it yesterday and am going back and watching it again. The Japanese subtitles are a huge help as well. All around a fantastic job. Thank you for taking the time to redo do the video since the audio was messed up on the first attempt.

    I followed along writing every kana and I can say this is the best video to teach it. However I have a criticism. Please don't be offended. I just want to help.
    The sound effects used to reinforce the kind of movement in strokes became grating after an hour of video. Please consider not having them on future long videos. It hurts me to say it because the editor clearly did a lot of work on it :(

    • @GoodOleDFT
      @GoodOleDFT 2 дня назад

      It's not offensive in the slightest, neither in the writeup nor in the reception, judging by the heart 😄
      It does end up a little overproduced, yeah, I see your point.

    Hi Andy, I just became a annual member on your website. It has been recommended a lot on reddit and I was looking for a more efficient way to study Japanese. Up until now I have learned the hiragana, katakana, and genki 1 up until course 6 by self study. But since I see a lot of people talking about immersing and also practicing other things I thought it would be more efficient to follow your course and have those things too. I have a question for you: the resources I now have/use are genki 1, anki and soon I will receive RTK in my post. Do you have any recommendations for other materials? I would love to hear it. Also would you recommend me just starting over at the beginning of your course to lay the foundation with your course or would it be ok to continue from where I am now?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hey! Ive recently been trying to learn japanese, cause i was read manga cuase of all the benefits that it offers, like faster printing or like accessed to later volumes like being on volume 110 of one piece but in western its at 106, or the mamy untranslated series and cheaper prices! So back to my question, at what level of the JLPT do u think someone in general would need to read a whole manga book? Thank you!

    • @Ermmm2637
      @Ermmm2637 15 дней назад +1

      Depends on the series honestly , but somewhere from n4-n2 , possibly n1 in some cases

    The katakana I have struggled the most with by far was the キ。For lord knows what reason I thought of it as a toppled telephone pole and made it waaaaay too angled to the left like an ❌, instead of only slightly canted. Took me several hours of practice, repetition and failure to right it back up, so to speak.

    She would go crazy looking at the writing of the Nepali students in my class. Their kanji is practically impossible to read sometimes. Also, earlier today, one of them wrote what looked exactly like a "3" but said it was the katakana "ro." Sigh.

    • @GoodOleDFT
      @GoodOleDFT 3 дня назад

      A 三 that was meant to be a ロ? ... how does a soul even manage _that?_ It's not a failure in language, it's a failure of geometric perception.
      I think I know: the student confused hiragana with katakana. The hiragana ろ does look vaguely like a number 3 in a flat-top style, although the proportions are very different.
